Bronze Fennel is a great host plant for swallowtail butterfly larvae. Any butterfly garden should include a few fennel plants. See fourth photo. Bronze Fennel is easy to start from seed and grow in any well drained garden soil. The anise scented foliage and seeds are popular in many fish recipes. I must admit that I grow it mainly for it's beauty.


Bronze fernlike foliage is topped by yellow umbel flowers in summer. I have this growing in my cutting garden with the orange Turk's Cap Lilies. The flowers will bring in much needed pollinators so this is a great plant to add to the vegetable garden.

Our pitt LOVES this toy. The rubber is reeeaally tough. It’s well designed because it’s a slippery surface. You can tell from the video there’s a lot of squeaking from him trying to get a good grip. He found a pretty good spot to hook his upper teeth into the crevasse, but his bottom teeth kept slipping. As a side note, I wouldn’t leave any toy home alone with him that’s about 3 inches or smaller because dogs can choke on it, but that doesn’t make this any toy or company any less amazing. For toys I would leave home with a power chewer, take a look at that 4inch red ball made by this same company. He hasn’t made a dent in that thing and you can put treats in it. :)

This is a great way to treat your dog! I filled it with a bit of plain yogurt drink diluted with water, and my dog absolutely loved it. It only took him about 3-5 minutes to finish it, but he’s about 60lbs, so maybe a bigger size bowl would be better for him. Max capacity of this one is 190 ml. You do have to monitor your dog with this bowl - mine tried to dismantle the bowl when it was empty, trying to get more out of it. Overall I think it’s a fun way to get your dog to drink a little bit more with diluted yogurt, broth, etc.

Kudos to whomever created this! I have a super attached (med) dog that follows me from room to room alllll day. The first time I put this down he went right for it and didn’t even notice i had left the deck. He is very food driven. I used bone broth and pumpkin puree, which was a hit but once I used the apple sauce… HUGE hit. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come in an XL size. My dog can empty it in under 3 minutes..so he doesn’t get relaxed or sleepy! it does splash out a bit from the top so I use it on his food mat or outside..my sister can’t stand the noise the ball makes. I wasn’t diluting enough so the ball doesn’t move smoothly in the video, but it really does work! The cover is very well made and sturdy. I didn’t notice it sliding around at all. My dog also did not try to get the ball out (loves to tear apart toys) or tip it over, but I could see that happening. I wouldn’t use unsupervised unless you have a small dog. Please make a larger size!!!!
