Description

have you seen but a white lily grow soprano Crinum x powellii 'Album' - White Crinum LilyThe white crinum lily has to be one of my favorites. It is tough and repeatedly blooms prolific white blooms on three to four foot scapes with numerous flowers from spring through early summer. It starts blooming on the heals of the color from the hardy amaryllis and Byzantine gladiolus. The robust foliage of this crinum curves a little more than others, and it is a nice glossy green color that is attractive even when the plant is not in bloom. Crinum

The white crinum lily has to be one of my favorites.

Crinum powellii comes in two different colors, pink and white. It is one of the most cold hardy of all the crinums, but that in no way means that it can not stand the heat. Some of the toughest, oldest crinums we have are these white crinum flowers. My mentor, Dr. Bill Welch, coined the phrase that "no crinum in the South has ever died."

We have seen these tough white crinum growing in many different locations. I was in South Carolina at a plantation where I first saw one blooming in the middle of a VERY hot and humid day - I can only wonder how long that crinum had been planted there and where it came from. Some of our white crinum come from the original home of a Texas Revolutionary War fighter who moved the crinum from his original home in Georgia. Lastly, in 2009 when leading a garden tour across England and the Jersey Islands, I spotted a nice established clump in the Chelsea Physic Garden (founded in 1673). It is exciting to see a plant doing well in so many different areas of the world!

During the winter, as most crinums do in colder areas, the foliage will die down completely. This opens up an opportunity to plant other winter growing bulbs to hide the foliage and barren stalks of the crinum. Lycoris radiata, Narcissus tazetta Grand Primo, and other strong winter bulb foliage plants are good choices and allow you to pack in more color into more spaces. In the summer, skirt its base and garden borders with the complimentary pink rain lilies (Habranthus robustus) that bloom at the same time!

Large bulbs are 1) quicker in their life to dividing and producing more offsets (babies) and 2) have a higher likelihood of larger and more blooms the first year.

All sizes will eventually produce the same beautiful blooms

Size Approximate Bulb Size Bloom & Growth Notes
Small Small bulb Will take a couple of years to produce good, full blooms; smaller bulbs simply take a bit longer to reach full size
Regular Baseball size or larger Not yet full size but will produce good blooms; it will begin multiplying sooner than small bulbs
Jumbo Softball size or larger The most mature bulb available — quickest to reach full size and multiply.

Plant now in good garden soil with plenty of sun. Water regularly during the hot dry months of summer. They will bulk up and multiply quickly!

Crinums don't like to be moved so they won't bloom for you this year, but give them time to get adjusted and enjoy the display of blooms next year!

Great for the price
Color: Football, Size: One-Size
The reason that I am giving this purchase 3 stars instead of 5, isn't because of the product being faulty. The fault is my own. I didn't think this was a squeaky toy. I thought it was solid. I took it out of its package and gave it to my dog. And when he chomped down on it and it squeaked. He dropped it, barked at it and won't touch it. My dog hates squeaky toys. But it's tough but soft and chewy. The price is nice, the size is perfect for a big dog and the playability is great. Just not for a dog who doesn't like squeaky toys.

This is Some Bunny!!
Color: Bunny (Red), Size: One-Size, Color: Bunny (Red), Size: One-Size
We have dubbed this THE BUNNY. Our fur baby doesn’t go anywhere without his support Bunny and loves it more than his cat sister. Bowie is a big boy and an aggressive chewer yet Bunny has stood up to him. Bunny can never go away!

Terrible quality
Color: Tennis Ball (Green), Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
After purchasing several of these balls, I felt I needed to write a review so that the amount of sales doesn’t make it appear as though this is a quality product!! My dogs absolutely love these balls, which is the only reason I keep ordering them. But, the grunting effect is “killed” quickly and easily and the seam that connects the “top” easily pulls apart. The balls end up ripped in two halves in less than a week. Sometimes less than three days. (We leave them outside so they play with them only when out there). They’re just far too easy to “disassemble” and tear apart. But, it’s fun watching the dogs’ joy in the first few seconds of getting a new one.

KONG; consistently sturdy!
Color: bone, Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
This toy is small enough for my 11 pound puppy and he loves it. It's also sturdy enough (as KONG products always are) to withstand his terrier jaws and ability to destroy most toys in under 5 minutes. Keeps him busy for hours.

My dogs love these. Quality is good. You can put small treats in them for short activity.
