What is MCT?
MCT stands for medium chain triglycerides, which are fatty acids that range in length from 6 to 12 carbons. Caprylic Acid (C8) is typically found in very small percentages within raw coconut oil. NoordCode Pure C8 MCT oil only contains the fast-absorbing, medium-chain C8 triglycerides.
The very fast-absorbing, medium-chain C8 triglycerides metabolize faster and lighter than conventional fats, proteins, or carbohydrates. Caprylic acid (C8) is highly able to activate ketone formation, which is important for ketogenic diet followers.

We wanted to develop the highest-quality C8 MCT Oil that does not contain palm kernel oil, preservatives, or chemicals.
NoordCode Organic Pure C8 MCT Oil is 100% coconut oil, only containing Caprylic Acid (C8) triglycerides. The coconuts are produced using sustainable agriculture in India. The MCT oil is produced in a high-quality factory in Germany, where they use a natural and innovative method to extract the MCTs.
The purification process uses physical fractionation, which takes advantage of the different melting points of the fats in coconut oil. C8 MCTs remain liquid for longer when the coconut oil cools compared to longer-chain fats. Longer-chain fats crystallize and separate from the liquid C8 MCTs. This purification method requires little heating, which keeps the C8 MCT oil intact.
To ensure that the quality meets our standards, we have tested all our products in the laboratory.

Use 1 tablespoon (15 ml) up to 3 times per day. Start with smaller dosages (1 teaspoon) and slowly increase over time as your body gets used to it. Too much MCT oil at once can cause stomach issues, especially when taken on an empty stomach.
MCT oil is liquid at room temperature, so it can be used with many types of foods and liquids. However, due to its relatively low smoke point, it is not recommended for use in high heat over 160 degrees Celsius.
