But I digress. With no time to return to Dutchess County—or even Sardinia—there I was, frantically searching for something that wouldn’t make me look like an underdressed disaster among the crème de la crème. Amazon to the rescue. I stumbled upon this navy blue tuxedo with a black shawl collar and, in a state of mild desperation, ordered it around midnight. It arrived before I even woke up the next morning. Amazon’s overnight delivery, an absolute lifesaver. I put it on, and, to my surprise, the fit was near perfection—almost as if Fabrizio himself had secretly slipped his measurements to the manufacturer.
