NPK Fertilizers – NPK 20 20 20 Fertilizer for Plants and Gardening

There are fertilizers that are natural, like manure, and fertilizers that are man-made. NPK 20 20 20 Fertilizer are fertilizers that contain the elements nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), so you can see how they get the name ‘NPK’.

NPK 20 20 20 Fertilizer

Fertilizer labels list three numbers; for example, 15-30-15 indicates the relative amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, or N-P-K. Choose a fertilizer based on the ratio of these nutrients to each other. For instance, a 15-30-15 fertilizer has a 1:2:1 ratio of N-P-K with one part nitrogen, two parts phosphorus and one part potassium. Flowering plants thrive with a 15-30-15 ratio, while a typical lawn fertilizer may use a ratio of 10-1-1, depending on your soil test. Fertilizers with a 1-1-1 ratio are considered all-purpose.

Nitrogen

Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for numerous plant functions and is one of the elemental components of chlorophyll. Nitrogen fuels vegetative growth, particularly the foliage, stems and branches. Plants can deplete the soil of nitrogen, leaching from the soil faster than any other element. If your plants have yellowing leaves or appear stunted with poor growth, the soil may lack nitrogen. By using a soil test kit, you can determine which element may be missing in your soil. Purchase test kits at most home and garden centers.

Phosphorus

A stimulant for root growth, seed and flower formation, phosphorus is most available to plants when the soil pH is between 5.5 and 7. The pH refers to the acid or alkaline level of the soil, and can range from 0 to 15 with 7 regarded as neutral. Different from nitrogen, phosphorus tends to remain in the soil; add it only for new growth. Root vegetables, such as carrots, use large amounts of phosphorus, particularly during early growth.

Potassium

Potassium promotes root and bud growth and ripening of fruit. It enhances disease resistance as well as tolerance to drought, heat and freezing. This element is essential for all plants to thrive, particularly in changing weather conditions. Potassium also has a tendency to remain in the soil, but is heavily used by growing vegetables, so should be supplemented as needed, based on a soil test. NPK 20 20 20 Fertilizer

All it did was moisturize and it’s super thing and just liquid. I highly doubt this is actually protecting my skin from the sun. Leaves no cast at all though

A solid story that flowed well.
Format: Kindle
Overall an enjoyable tale besides one character I liked being in the story and then shortly after being out of the story. But it was a fun read with great characters but so many that weren't given enough time to shine at all or be seen more. Looking forward to the next in the series.

This spin-off debut is a satisfying fix my fellow cozy flapper-era amateur-sleuth addicts!
Format: Kindle
4.25 I have no excuse. I’ve never read or listened to “The Scottish Ladies' Detective Agency” even though somebody physically gave me the book. In my defense, my kindle app and audiobooks are more friendly for ADHD and pain management and I haven’t read a physical book in years. I was starting fresh with Lady Poppy and this first book launches a spinoff series. Who doesn’t love a historic mystery, especially set in Scotland? This has many of the hallmarks of a series in the genre and I never know whether to complain about the repetition—or even near clones—or celebrate the opportunity to feed my addiction. In some respects, I found this refreshing because Poppy is wealthy. It seems like every other female sleuth in the 1920s and 30s has an aristocratic (or aristocratic adjacent) background but is now dirt poor. There are enough stresses about money these days that I prefer to focus on the murder. This is a tangled web of a story and I thought it clever and I liked Poppy if for no other reason than she has a fantastic lab and appreciates him (and other dogs). Of course, Major Charlie (extra points for the awesome name) saves the day a time or two. Oh and Poppy having a law degree, even when women couldn’t practice law, was a great asset and very cool. That said, if she wasn’t a Lady and very attractive, she would not have gotten away with her brazen interference (even in comparison to other amateur sleuths). In terms of the audiobook version, the narrator was good in most respects. The voice of the handsome inspector (among other male characters) was so deep and low that it drove me a little crazy. Lady Constance also sounded masculine and I had to stop and think every time I heard that voice which was contrary to the character. Overall, she did a good job on the various Scottish accents, including Poppy’s sophisticated mix of the King ‘s English and a Scottish lilt. Otherwise, this mystery was clever and I’m sad that I have to wait for the next one. I would wait for several so that I could finally binge them, but I’m not that strong. P.S. Apparently, neither Lydia Travers nor “The Scottish Ladies' Detective Agency” are even recognized by Libby (which recognizes practically every author) and the books are only available through Kindle Unlimited or buying them or the audiobooks, thus the reason I have not read them. Maybe one day! I am reviewing advanced copies of this book and audiobook given to me by the publisher. All views are strictly my own. . #DeathattheHighlandLoch #NetGalley #bookreview #ADHDreader #lydiatravers #Scottishladydetective #Scotland #historicmystery

Excellent!!!
Format: Kindle
I'm so excited to begin a new series by Lydia Travers! I have missed our Maud McIntyre, but Lady Poppy is a delightful! Ms Travers weaves an intriguing tale with interesting characters and the hope of a sweet, budding romance. Do yourself a favor and get it. You Will enjoy reading it.
