"The Campii Lynette is what I call a 'quiet stunner' — it doesn't shout for attention with variegation or fenestrations. Instead, it draws you in with those deeply ridged leaves and an elegance that grows more captivating over time. A true gentleman's philodendron." — Mr. Phileas Plant
The Plant
The Philodendron Campii 'Lynette' is an uncommon hybrid prized for its elongated, lance-shaped leaves with strikingly prominent parallel veins that give each leaf a deeply textured, almost corrugated appearance. The foliage emerges in a graceful, spreading rosette pattern — each leaf arching outward with architectural precision.
Unlike many philodendrons that climb, the Campii Lynette grows as a self-heading variety, meaning it develops a compact, bushy form rather than reaching for a pole. This makes it an exceptional tabletop or shelf plant that holds its shape beautifully without support.
This specimen has multiple established leaves with excellent vein definition and is actively producing new growth. Potted in our signature Fluval Stratum volcanic substrate.
Care at a Glance
☀️ Light: Medium to bright indirect. Tolerates lower light better than most aroids.
💧 Water: When top 2" of substrate is dry. Forgiving if you occasionally forget.
🌡️ Humidity: Adaptable — thrives in average home humidity but appreciates 50%+.
🪴 Soil: Ships in Fluval Stratum volcanic substrate.
📏 Growth: Self-heading, compact rosette. No moss pole needed.
⚠️ Toxicity: Mildly toxic to pets and children if ingested.
Why We Love This One
The Campii Lynette is one of the most underrated philodendrons out there. It's hardy enough for beginners but unusual enough to catch a collector's eye. The ribbed leaf texture catches light in a way that flat-leaved plants simply can't — it's like having a living piece of sculptural art on your shelf.
