Taylor along the scenic road from Mazatlán to Durango, where it grew in partial shade beneath native vegetation. This variety forms compact rosettes with pointed, lance-shaped leaves that range from deep burgundy to near black. A delicate coating of farina gives the surface a subtle, silvery sheen, adding a soft contrast to the dark tones. Mature rosettes can reach up to 12–15 cm in diameter, making it an excellent feature plant in pots, rockeries, and succulent displays.
