One of the world's most stunning palms! Very hard to find these in NZ.

Bismarckia nobilis is native to Madagascar and is a warm temperate to tropical palm which needs plenty of space and full sun. Although it is a warm climate palm, it will also tolerate drought and light frost when well established. It is also quite resistant to pests and disease and can handle a wide range of soil types so long as they are well drained.

In good conditions Bismarckia grows fairly quickly into a large and stunning tree but will also look amazing in a large pot. Its bold form and startling silver-blue foliage make for great visual impact. In seedlings and young plants, the leaves are tinged with an unreal purple colour.

These seeds, once purchased, will be carefully germinated in an incubator, packed into moist coco coir housed in cardboard tubes, and then packed into punnets (3 seedlings per punnet, most secure fit for posting).

Tall planter bags sufficiently deep for these seedlings are provided, so you only need to provide a good quality, well drained, potting mix to plant them into. Each planter bag will hold around 7 litres of potting mix.

All you need to do when you receive the germinated seeds is plant them, tube and all, into the potting mix in the bags so that the seed in its tube is left flush with the surface (see photos). The tube will quickly rot away once planted so it doesn't need to be removed (see photos). Instructions on how to look after them will be supplied.

There may be a short delay (up to a couple of weeks) between purchase and posting depending on what stage the seedlings are at, to be advised at the time of purchase.

The best chew ever for a strong chewer
Color: Dogwood (Brown), Size: Large (Pack of 1)
We have a 77lb goldendoodle who loves these. We’re lucky because he doesn’t chew on anything other than his toys, but when he starts on this…he really goes at it. It’s healthy, (not synthetic), doesn’t break apart, (no pieces to worry about him swallowing), it just perfect for him. The noise may get on your nerves but it’s a small price to pay to keep him from chewing on your furniture, shoes, or anything else a mischievous dog can find.

Little pieces break off
Color: Dogwood (Brown), Size: Large (Pack of 1)
My dog is obsessed with this. It does last a long time even given her strong chewing capabilities. I wish it was a little bigger. The main reason I rated it so low is when my dog is chewing on this it breaks off a little plastic peice and sometimes it hits the back of her throat making her cough so you have to supervise with this.

Great for aggressive chewers
Color: Dogwood (Brown), Size: Large (Pack of 1)
My dog is an aggressive chewer so they are great for her. I would love to have one a bit thinner so it could fit in a holder so it is easier for her to hold while eating. This keeps her busy and is long lasting. I have purchased these multiple times.

Awsome puppy toy
This toy is great. My baby destroys every stuffed toy we get her. Except this one and one other from the same manufacturer. She loves them so much and is constantly playing with them. No rips or holes at all. I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Durable Stuffed Toys for a Chewer
I have 2 two year old medium size mixed dogs (Paisan and Barley) Barley is a chewer and has destroyed every stuffed toy we've bought within a couple days until this sloth and racoon. I purchased the sloth almost a month ago and can't believe it's still in one piece! They love the sloth and the two of them play tug of war with it everyday. It's Barley's favorite toy to chew on and no longer has a face or squeaker (which she removed through the face) and the hands and feet have taken a beating but the rest of it has held up incredibly well due to the strong stitching. We've had the racoon for almost 3 months but for some reason neither of my dogs pays much attention to it. The ears have been chewed off but that's it. I'm so pleased to finally find toys that can hold up to Barley! They are more expensive than other stuffed toys but so much more durable and worth every penny! I'm sticking with this brand!
