The Container Garden For Full Sun includes the following plants:

Container Garden Care:
  • Use a premium quality potting mix (NOT garden soil) to fill the container.
  • During the growing season, fertilize regularly with a fish emulsion-based liquid fertilizer at least twice monthly (at recommended rates on the bottle). Deadhead the plants as the flowers fade to keep them tidy and blooming. Water moderately once or twice per month so the soil doesn't get bone dry. In warmer zones 7-9, move the pot to a location protected from excess sun.
  • Winter care: Plants are hardy in zones 6-8. In colder zones, provide winter protection by moving the pots into a garage or protected space before winter freezes. Leave the plants standing over the winter and clip them back hard in mid-spring before moving the pot outdoors for the next growing season.

Plants are subject to change due to availability. Any substitutions will feature plants with similar attributes suitable to the garden design. Not all plants will be in bloom at the same time, as may be depicted in the artist’s rendering.

Five Stars, No Notes

I love Carley Fortune’s books, but I think this one might just be edging out the top spot in my ranking list. Her writing is lyrical and engaging and just wraps you right in and has you grinning like an idiot the entire way through. This was a really quick read for me because I didn’t want to put it down. I am also not usually someone who highlights quotes in books, but the language was truly so creative and beautiful in some parts I couldn’t resist saving them for later. I still am not over it. Our Perfect Storm is a childhood friends to lovers romance where you truly fall in love with the characters and are rooting for them throughout the book. There is so much yearning and heartache and I totally ate this up. Frankie is a chaotic spitfire of a character and I found her to be incredibly relatable, and loved how Carley makes her character lovable because of her rough edges, not in spite of it. George is so sweet and patient and pines after Frankie, totally making you swoon. You want to scream at them the entire book to just get together already. The tropical vacation with a “bucket list” setting gave me almost PWMOV vibes and I loved it. George really throws himself into helping Frankie’s grief, and it’s a very healing process to witness. I also feel as though the unpredictable and chaotic dynamics of human relationships were well portrayed in this story, not only through the intimate relationships but with the extended families as well. I don’t want to share spoilers, but I really appreciated where Frankie and her mom landed in the end, it felt like a real turning point for her. The ending is truly beautiful and feels like a breath of fresh air. This book just fully wrapped me up in nostalgia and cozy magic and made me smile through the end. I would highly recommend for any Carley Fortune lovers or anyone looking for a feel good read. Some of my favorite quotes: “You’re this unstoppable force, and you make me feel invincible, too. I feel more alive when I’m with you.” “There are no ugly parts. Some of them are louder than others. Some might be vicious when provoked.” His eyes drill into mine. “But they’re all you. They’re all worthy of love.” “My love for you is fundamental to who I am. It’s deep in my bones. A sonnet written in the marrow.”

Letdown after ESA & OGS but Still a Great Summer Read

Highly anticipated after 2025's One Golden Summer sequel to Every Summer After because The Florek boys are everything. Loved the setting (Tofino sounds gorgeous), but the book was off balance. Long-suffering George was so thoughtful & obviously in love with his BFF Frankie. Other than shared history, I wondered why. She's supposed to be independent (as was Jo in her fave book Little Women), but she spends a lot of time sobbing, moping, resenting, & pushing everyone away. She's oblivious to George's obvious devotion even when he's traveling the world for work & firmly consigns him to the friend zone (but doesn't date anyone else beyond a device driven brief engagement to wildly unsuitable guy). At 30, she still thinks romance will kill their 22 yr friendship? Even their magical week in Tofino when they're together is unsettled by her reticence & constant disbelief they can be a couple. There are a lot of flashbacks to the besties at 8, 12, 16, 20, & last year that disrupt the flow & don't serve the story. Still, she writes beautiful sentences and has the ability to transport. It's a good book, just a 4 not a 5.

I had to buy this book since One Golden Summer was amazing and stayed with me longer after I finished it. In this book, the setting and descriptive scenery of their honeymoon destination and how it was woven into the story was the highlight. The romance took second place and was lackluster overall as I never really connected with why Frankie was such a good friend and George fell in love with her. The ending was just okay and I think the letters could have been better utilized in the story instead of dumped in at the end. The whale storyline was a footnote and distracted from the story. It could have been a few chapters shorter overall. I loved George and felt like he deserved better.
