Green Mountain Boxwood: Elegance Meets Practical Versatility

Green Mountain Boxwood (Buxus x 'Green Mountain') is a broadleaf evergreen known for its lush, bright green foliage and distinct pyramidal shape. Perfect for year-round interest, this upright shrub adds timeless sophistication to formal landscapes and modern gardens alike

The tiny flowers appear in spring, but they aren't showy, however, your local pollinators will seek out the vital nectar source. These Boxwoods are cold-hardy, versatile, and easy to grow, not requiring much maintenance to keep them looking spiffy!

The natural upright habit makes Green Mountain an ideal candidate to train and shear into a thick and dense hedge for privacy. Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 5 to 8, growing 3 - 5 tall and 2 - 3 feet wide at the base.

Why Choose Green Mountain Boxwood?

  • Distinct Shape: Naturally upright and pyramidal, perfect for vertical accents.
  • Year-Round Greenery: Retains its vibrant color even in harsh winters.
  • Low Maintenance: Requires minimal care while maintaining a refined appearance.
  • Cold Hardy: Thrives in USDA Zones 5–9, standing up to winter winds.
  • Versatile Landscaping: Ideal for hedges, accents, garden gates, or container displays.

Landscaping Ideas for Green Mountain Boxwood

Whether used as a stately accent, clipped hedge, or eye-catching container centerpiece, Green Mountain Boxwood is a versatile gem for every garden.

  • Formal Hedges: Use as upright, clipped hedges for structured designs.
  • Elegant Accents: Plant flanking entryways, gates, or along pathways for a polished look.
  • Garden Walls: Create outdoor rooms or private patios with lush Boxwood "walls."
  • Container Showpieces: Ideal for pots on patios or flanking porches.
  • Topiary Shapes: Prune into spirals, cones, or other creative forms for artistic flair.

Boxwood Planting & Care

These are easy-to-grow and low-maintenance shrubs to include in your landscape!

Planting Tips

  • Location: Prefers partial to full sun, with at least 4–6 hours of sunlight daily.
  • Soil: Thrives in well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH.
  • Spacing: Allow 2–3 feet between plants for hedges or 3–5 feet for natural growth.

Care Instructions

  • Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season. Once established, water deeply during dry spells.
  • Pruning: Shape in late spring or early summer after the first growth flush. Avoid heavy pruning late in the growing season.

Style: 100ct
Muy buen papel para sublimar, transfiere los colores vivos y nítidos. No se corre la tinta y seca rápido. Ideal para tazas, camisetas y otros proyectos. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

This paper is absolutely excellent for optimal print quality. I used it for ceramic mugs and it is easy to see why it costs more. The transfer quality is fantastic

This is the ONLY paper that works well with SP-1
Style: 100ct
This is the only paper that works well with the Brother SP-1 sublimation printer. The instructions on using the paper are a little weird, but as long as the cut corner remains in the lower right of the printer tray, you'll be okay. I can't say that there's a lot of consistency in printing with this paper. Sometimes photos I've printed for items look really great, other times the photos are quite muted. This is a CMYK printer, which means you won't see the vibrant colors you see on your computer monitor. Often a red-boost in saturation in PS will help with some of that problem. The other issue is there's no real color management profile defined if you're printing directly from Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Even if you use matching CMYK colors in your artwork, don't expect those colors to work in sublimation. For simple artwork, with few color gradations, this seems to work pretty well. So, if you have an SP-1, this is the only paper you should use.
