Summary: Aglaonema ‘Red Joy’ enchants with its vivid red and green patterned leaves, bringing effortless tropical color to any indoor corner with minimal care.

✨ Why You'll Love the Aglaonema 'Red Joy'

  • Gorgeous red and green foliage adds warmth and life to your home
  • Compact size (H30 cm, P12 cm) fits perfectly on desks or shelves
  • Thrives in lower light – ideal for German apartments and offices
  • Low-maintenance and forgiving, perfect for busy lifestyles
  • Excellent air purifier for cleaner, fresher indoor air

🌞 Light & Placement

Prefers bright indirect light but adapts well to medium or low light. Avoid harsh direct sun to keep foliage vibrant and unburned.

💧 Water & Humidity

Water moderately, letting the top 2–3 cm of soil dry out between waterings. Appreciates higher humidity; mist occasionally or place near other plants to maintain moisture levels.

🪴 Soil & Potting

Use a well-draining indoor potting mix with perlite for airflow. Repot every 2–3 years to refresh soil and encourage healthy root development.

🐾 Toxicity & Safety

Not pet-safe. Keep away from cats and dogs as ingestion can cause irritation or digestive discomfort.

🌱 Growth & Propagation

Moderate growth habit, reaching up to 50 cm indoors. Propagate easily via stem cuttings in water or soil during warmer months to create new colourful plants.

📆 Seasonal & Special Care

Wipe leaves regularly to remove dust and boost photosynthesis. Reduce watering slightly in winter when growth slows.

🐛 Common Issues

Overwatering can cause yellow leaves; low humidity may lead to brown tips. Watch for spider mites, especially in dry conditions.

🧬 Botanical Background

Aglaonema ‘Red Joy’ belongs to the Araceae family, native to Southeast Asia’s tropical forests. Known for its resilience and stunning variegation, it is a favourite among European plant lovers seeking vibrant, easy-care indoor colour.

Half gone in the first 45 minutes...
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
our medium sized dog is an aggressive chewer but we expected mire than 3/4 of an hour before the bone's demise. Half gone quickly, heavy stitching included, so threw away the second half for fear of a blockage. Not safe, not durable, disappointing. Sorry, cannot recommend this one.

Puppy loves it!
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
I have a very energetic lab puppy - this chew kept her still for longer than any other toy I’ve tried (besides bully sticks and peanut butter). Highly recommend!

Good for an aggressive chewer
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
My dog loves it. These last a long time. My dog is a Rottweiler/American Bulldog mix, she goes through a lot of toys. So, I try to buy her something that has no stuffing, but will keep her from getting bored. This one has lasted about 6-7 months, the leather is chewed off, but it's still the shape of a bone. I did just order another though, the one she has is a little stinky from her slobber. :-)

Not as expected
Size: 6 Inch, Color: Bone
I have been looking for these ever since we got a similar one at Sierras for our 1 1/2 yo Cane Corso. She is brutal on chew toys and the first one from the box store held up well. However, this did not hold up as well and she was done with it in less than a week. Still looking for that perfect toy.

More durable than expected.
Size: 5 Inch, Color: Raccoon
I was walking through my front room the other day when I noticed a suspicious spot on the floor. It looked like something I should not touch without gloves. As I got closer, I realized what it was. It’s the ‘guts’ from this toy. My dogs (Pit Bull and German Shorthaired Pointer) were each given one. Both are aggressive chewers with their toys. They ATE the faces off these toys and now play with the felt interior. I’m still trying to figure out how they ate through leather while the felt remained intact. Regardless, they still play with them. Now they are basically semi-fuzzy throw toys we can throw in the house because they don’t leave marks on the wall if our aim is off. Sometimes things work out the way they should. :)
