The levels for depth make edging around d flower beds or raised beds easy- not really a trench, but gives a good edge. Lightweight and easy to manage. Definitely lighter than my corded edger. The blade is sensitive and the guide to keep it steady along concrete is not great- just need to make sure you watch closely or it will spark when it hits the concrete.

I have a medium sized area. Just one driveway and about 30 feet of sidewalk. I will use it four or five times a summer and I expect it will last for a few years. It hold a charge enough for my needs. If you have a large driveway or plan on using it every day, you will probably be disappointed. But if you have a small area to do, its not bad.
