Description

starfish snake plants Starfish Snake Plant (Dracaena 'Starfish') – Cedar Bridge BotanicalsThis is quite an unusual snake plant! The leaves grow from the very center of the plant, and will fan out sideways, giving it the appearance of a starfish. Previously classified as Sansevieria cylindrica 'Starfish,' this plant now bears the name Dracaena angolensis 'Starfish.' It was reclassified with many other Sansevieria species, though the care for snake plants remains the same, despite the name change. Care for snake plants can be found here.

Snake plants contain saponins, which can cause GI upset in our furry friends. However, they make great additions to arid reptile enclosures! This species of snake plant grows slowly and will remain sizable for most reptile enclosures.

Plants will ship bare root and are suitable for a 5 inch pot. Photos are representative and some natural variation should be expected.

Very well built.
Well build. Very solid for the price. I used #1 AWG cable. I don't like the pinch bolt connection. It tries to drill through the cable, and spreads the strands. Only about 2/3rds are pinched under the knurled bolt tip. I'll keep an eye on it, and if the connection heats up, I'll pull apart, straighten the strands, and tin the ends with solder so they don't crush much. See how that works. A concave, half circle piece under the pinch bolt would be better IMO. That would keep strands together as they crushed down.
