Aglaonema 'White Joy'

Aglaonema 'White Joy' is a bright Chinese evergreen with broad leaves carrying large white to pale cream areas framed by green. It grows as a compact upright clump, with new leaves emerging from the centre and older leaves forming a rounded base around the pot.

The leaves are smooth, slightly glossy and oval with pointed tips. Large pale central sections give the crown a crisp, high-contrast look, while the green margins and midrib detail keep each blade clearly defined.

Aglaonema 'White Joy' leaf and growth traits

  • Compact Aglaonema cultivar with broad pale-centred leaves
  • White to cream blade areas with green margins and midrib detail
  • Short-stemmed clumping growth that fills the pot from the crown
  • Rounded indoor habit suited to tabletops and plant stands
  • Warm, filtered conditions reduce marks on pale leaves

Aglaonema 'White Joy' pale crown habit

Aglaonema 'White Joy' is a cultivated Aglaonema selection with broad pale leaf areas and compact pot growth. Its broad leaves, green framing and white to cream blade sections create a bright, defined crown from a young size.

During active growth, fresh leaves rise upright from the centre, then settle outward as they mature and the plant gains width. The broad blades give the crown a full, rounded shape while the green margins keep the pale leaf surfaces clearly outlined.

Aglaonema 'White Joy' care guide

  • Light: Give bright indirect light. Keep the plant away from direct sun through glass, which can mark the pale leaf surface.
  • Watering: Water when the top 3–5 cm of mix is dry and the pot feels lighter. Keep moisture even during warm growth.
  • Substrate: Use a porous mix with coco coir, bark chips, perlite and a small amount of composted organic matter.
  • Pot choice: Grow in a drainage pot inside a cover pot and remove standing water after each watering.
  • Temperature: Keep above 18 °C. Cold damage can appear quickly on the pale sections.
  • Humidity: Moderate room humidity is suitable. A humidifier raises humidity in dry heated rooms where leaf edges crisp easily.
  • Feeding: Apply weak fertiliser once a month in spring and summer, then flush the substrate occasionally to reduce salt build-up.
  • Repotting: Repot when roots fill the pot, moving up by one size to keep moisture levels controlled.
  • Leaf care: Clean leaves with a soft, barely damp cloth so dust and mineral spots show up clearly.
  • Propagation: Divide rooted side growth from mature plants during warm active growth.

Aglaonema 'White Joy' foliage condition notes

  • Brown edges on pale tissue: Check fertiliser strength, dry air and repeated drying of the whole root ball.
  • Soft yellowing leaves: Check whether the lower potting mix is staying wet between waterings.
  • Clear bleached patches: Move the plant back from strong sun and check for hot glass exposure.
  • Weak, stretched growth: Increase filtered light and rotate the pot every few weeks.

Pampers Baby Dry are actually good again! Major upgrade.
Size: Size 3, Unit Count: 168
I’ve used Baby Dry off and on for a while, but the new “improved” version is a huge step up from the old design. They used to feel kind of generic, thin, boxy, and not great for active toddlers, but now they’re a real contender next to Swaddlers and Huggies Little Movers. What’s new: • The shape is much more like Swaddlers, snugger around the hips and legs, less floppy in the front. • Tabs are noticeably stronger and stretchier. • The inside has a new ultra cushiony top layer that feels soft and plush, not papery. • They seem to have a slightly faster and more even absorbency, too. • Still the same cute Sesame Street prints and blue inner layer, but the overall fit and quality feel more “premium.” Size-wise, the new Baby Dry run a bit larger than Huggies size 3 but a touch smaller than Swaddlers size 3 so a great in-between fit. For parents like us who can’t use 360-style pull-ons at daycare, these are perfect. They have tabs, fit toddlers well, and hold up to big pees without the sag or stiffness the old Baby Dry had. Bottom line: a big win for Pampers these finally feel like a proper toddler diaper, not an expensive generic. Highly recommend giving them another try if you haven’t used them recently!

Reliable overnight protection with minimal leaks
Size: Size 6, Unit Count: 112
These have been very reliable for overnight use. They hold a lot without leaking, even after a full night of sleep. The fit is secure around the legs and waist without leaving marks. I also appreciate that they don’t have a strong scent. Compared to other brands I’ve tried, these seem to last longer before needing a change. Only minor downside is they can feel a bit bulky when very full, but that’s expected for the absorbency.

Just works for us!
Size: Size 1, Unit Count: 44
Had to transfer from Huggies and Pura because our son kept leaking through those, despite trying all the tips and tricks. Needless to say we’re really pleased with these! They’re WAY more absorbent. Only downside is that it’s not designed for sensitive skin, but diaper rash cream always does the trick for our little guy

Outstanding, top of the line diaper!
Size: Size 1, Unit Count: 252
We normally use Huggies Little Movers with our 3.5 year old (nothing against them, they're also great diapers) but recently decided to give Swaddlers a try, and will not be going back. This is a top-of-the-line diaper and excels in all ways. We use a size 7 though could *probably* get away with a size 6, and use about 4-5 diapers a day on average (not including his overnight diaper) depending on how much he's had to drink and how often he poops -usually once a day, but could be as many as 3 times, especially if he doesn't go one day. The first thing you notice about these diapers is how soft they are. I mean, they just feel like they would be comfortable on a child, and since they're in them practically 24/7, that's important. The diaper is mostly white, and the overall designs are more muted than a lot of other diapers, with "Shilo and Friends" -an elephant and duck - on the front and back. I personally wouldn't mind something bolder, I don't think my child cares or even notices. There is a wetness indicator that goes down the length of the diaper, front and back. Nice to have I suppose for a caregiver who maybe doesn't change a lot of diapers, but at this age and stage, it's easy to know and tell. Like all Pampers diapers, they are scented. I happen to love the gentle powder-like scent, but it's a turn-off to some who describe it as too strong, and of course, if your child is sensitive to that, you may want to avoid Pampers diapers. Inside, the top sheet liner keeps his skin dry, even when he wets heavily -which is usually - and does a good job of keeping poop from sticking to his bottom. The "blowout barrier" in the back also helps contain any messes. In terms of absorbency, I'm pretty amazed at how much they can hold. Being a little older, he tends to stay drier for longer periods and then pee a larger amount at one time, but the diaper almost always holds it in, and leaks are rare. The one thing I wish that Pampers did do was have wider tapes, like Huggies, at least on the larger sizes, where kids are more active. It hasn't been a problem, so I don't really have a reason for saying that, other than that it seems like it would help with fit, but it certainly won't keep me from buying or using them in the future.
