Plant Care

  • Light - Kalanchoe plants prefer bright, indirect sunlight. In the summer, place them near an east- or west-facing window, and in the winter, place them near a south-facing window. Avoid placing them directly in a windowsill, as direct sunlight can burn the leaves.
  • Watering - Kalanchoe plants are succulents and store water in their leaves, so they require minimal watering. In general, only water your kalanchoe when the top few centimeters of soil are dry. Too much water can damage the roots and stem, causing the plant to collapse.
  • Darkening - To trigger flowering, kalanchoe plants need at least 14 hours of darkness for six weeks straight. In a closet or cabinet, put the plant away from 6 PM to 8 AM, and reduce watering and feeding during this time. After six weeks, the plant should bloom with colorful flowers.
  • Sunburn - Brown patches on the leaves may indicate sunburn. If this happens, move the plant out of direct sunlight.
  • Trimming - Once the flowers fade, you can trim the heads to enjoy the succulent foliage.

Plant Benefits

  • The plant will liven up your home with its vibrant hues.
  • Houseplant enthusiasts need to go no farther than succulents like the Christmas kalanchoe since they are resistant to drought, require little care, and look wonderful.
  • The Kalanchoe plant makes a great gift for any occasion.

Get all the cooking pans you need for the holidays.
Size: 9*13 Aluminum Pans
These really came in handy this holiday season. With all the parties to cook for, the business potlucks everyone had, and just needing a way to make large meals in one go, I burned thru most of these in a three week span. The worked great with baking a ham, keeping ribs warm in the oven, a large amount of banana pudding, bulk cooking potatoes, and several large chickens being roasted using these pans. The hold up well to heavy foods without warping or bending (always keep a sheet pan under it of course). And most of them were washed out and set to the side to be used again, saving even more money.

Good Disposable Pans for Entertaining
Size: 9*13 Aluminum Pans
I recently purchased a 30-pack of 9×13 aluminum pans for a few gatherings and heavy cooking sessions, and they’ve turned out to be quite useful. I used them for baking lasagna, roasting vegetables, and even transporting casseroles to potlucks. Because they’re disposable, cleanup has been a breeze. After a meal, I didn’t have to worry about scrubbing or losing my regular baking dish. The pans stack neatly, so storage before use doesn’t take much space, and carrying multiple pans at once is manageable when boxed. That said, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The edges are a little flimsy — if you grab a fully loaded one carelessly, it can bend; that is kinda expected though. Also, for very sticky or sugary crusts, I found a liner beneath helpful to avoid stuck bits. Overall, these aluminum pans work well for large meals, catered dishes, or occasions when you don’t want to worry about returning dishware. They’re practical, convenient, and strong enough for most everyday cooking needs.
