A native of southern Africa, this plant can grow up to 4 metres long in its natural habitat, trailing down from trees and rooting as it grows. Indoors, it thrives in bright rooms and is happiest left to spill from shelves or hanging planters. Ceropegia woodii is part of the milkweed family and grows across southern Africa. It spreads through long, trailing vines and develops small tuber-like roots as it matures. It’s drought-tolerant, adaptable, and quick to grow with minimal care — one of the best beginner-friendly trailing plants around.

Light requirements:
Enjoys bright, indirect light but tolerates some shade. A sunny windowsill is ideal — too little light can reduce variegation and slow growth.

Watering:
Water only when the top couple of inches of soil are dry. This plant is drought-tolerant and dislikes being overwatered. Use a free-draining compost in a pot with drainage.

Feeding:
