Depending on the brightness of the lighting conditions, ‘Ganzhou’ can also include tones of soft green, frosty blue, and purple – though regardless of its current color, the leaves are always coated in a delicate layer of powdery farina, meaning that care should be taken when handling this plant not to mar it with the oils from our fingerprints!
Pachysedum ‘Ganzhou’ boasts straightforward care requirements, including porous soil (such as a cactus mix) in a well draining pot, access to bright light, and protection from frost during the colder months. With its thick leaves, infrequent watering is preferable, and this variety will thrive using the ‘soak and dry’ method, meaning that the plant is only watered once the soil has had a chance to dry out.
With the right conditions in place, P. ‘Ganzhou’ readily sends up apricot flower clusters, and will begin to produce offsets.
