Calathea Rosy, or Calathea Roseopicta, has one of the most colorful and stunning foliages in all houseplants. This plant stands out with large oval-shaped pink leaves and dark green edges. The blend of pink and green color has a water-color effect and gives Calathea Rosy a dazzling beauty.
Calathea Rosy can grow up to 2 feet in height. This plant is also great at purifying the indoor air and removing air pollutants.
In winter or early spring, Rosy produces small white to purple flowers. These flowers grow between the leaves.

Rosy prefers bright, indirect light so put it in a bright room a few feet from a window. Avoid harsh direct sunlight to prevent sunburn. Calathea Rosy tolerates some low-light conditions, but it needs bright light to maintain its colors.
This prayer plant relative needs regular watering about once or twice a week to keep its soil slightly moist. Water when the first inch of the top soil is dry.
This plant needs well-drained soils that is nutrient-rich, and able to retain some moisture. Choose a peat-rich potting mixture.
This Calathea plant thrives in temperatures of 65°F-75°F and grow well in normal room conditions. It does not tolerate temperatures below 60°F. Rosy needs a high humidity level (at least 60%). Use a humidifier and mist your plant if needed.
This plant should be fertilized once per month during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer. You can also feat this plant with a slow release fertilizer once or twice per year.
Rosy is considered non-toxic and safe for pets. -
