  •   Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel is a striking variegated succulent in the Crassulaceae family, beloved by collectors and beginners alike for its easy care and eye-catching rosettes. Native to the Canary Islands, this aeonium copper pinwheel cultivar thrives in warm, Mediterranean-style climates with mild winters and dry summers. It grows in an upright, clustering habit, producing offsets over time to form a stunning living display.

The Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel is instantly recognizable by its large, flat rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves striped in creamy yellow, green, and warm copper-pink tones along the edges. Each rosette fans out like a pinwheel, creating a bold, architectural look that sets this aeonium sunburst apart from ordinary succulents. The coloring deepens with more sun exposure, shifting toward richer copper and gold hues that make it a true showpiece.

When mature, Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel may produce cone-shaped flower clusters rising from the center of a rosette, typically in shades of pale yellow or cream. Blooming is triggered in part by cooler night temperatures, so a seasonal drop in temps encourages flowering. After a rosette blooms, it completes its life cycle, but the surrounding offsets in a clustering plant carry on beautifully.

Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel is a fantastic choice for sunny patios, container gardens, and bright windowsills, and it benefits from spending the summer outdoors where air circulates freely. Rotate the pot regularly for even, symmetrical growth, and keep it away from direct AC or heater vents, which can stress the foliage. This plant is pet friendly, making it a worry-free option for households with cats and dogs. Its beginner-friendly nature and stunning variegation make it a prized addition to any succulent collection.

  •   Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel thrives in bright indirect light to partial sun, with some direct morning sun deepening its copper tones beautifully.

Water Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel every 10-14 days in spring and fall, reducing to once a month or less during summer dormancy.

Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel does best in a well-draining succulent or cactus mix blended with perlite for added drainage.

Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel prefers temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and should be protected from frost below 25°F (-4°C).

Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel is a moderate grower that benefits from a diluted balanced fertilizer applied once in early spring.

Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel is hardy in USDA Zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F (-4°C) but preferring frost-free winters. Gardeners growing Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel outdoors year-round will find ideal conditions across California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. It also thrives along the mild coastal areas of Oregon, Washington, and North Carolina, as well as in parts of New Mexico and the warmer pockets of Arkansas and Virginia.
  • Q: How often should I water Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel?
A: Water every 10-14 days during its active growing season in spring and fall, and cut back to monthly or less during summer dormancy.

Q: Is Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel safe for pets?
A: Yes, this plant is pet friendly and is considered non-toxic to cats and dogs.

Q: How much light does Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel need?
A: It thrives in bright indirect light to partial sun, and the copper-pink leaf color intensifies with a few hours of direct morning sun.

Q: Can Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel go outside in summer?
A: Absolutely, moving it outdoors for summer is great for growth, just provide cover from heavy rain and avoid harsh midday sun that can scorch the leaves.

Q: How big does Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel get?
A: Rosettes typically reach 6-12 inches across, and the plant grows in an upright, clustering form that gradually expands as it produces offsets.

Q: How do I propagate Aeonium Sunburst Copper Pinwheel?
A: The easiest method is removing a healthy offset or stem cutting, letting it dry for a day or two, then planting it in well-draining succulent mix.

Didn't work out for me after a few uses.
Broke after only like 5 uses...not worth the money. Doesn't stay sharp nor does it auto-clamp onto cans after such uses. Thought it worked only to find out it didn't cut the can and left little metal shavings from just kinda "scratching" the can and I ended up getting a splinter. Thought it was low on battery and fully charged only for it to keep not cutting the can. Trashed it just gonna buy a regular stand up from walmart or something.

Easy to use without any effort
Color: Orange
Needed a small space electric opener to help with opening cans due to arthritis. Manual ones were difficult to use. This fits in the palm of your hand and is easy to attach to can. It opens regular size cans easily, although it is a bit slow. The one can it didn't work well on was Fancy Feast Cat Food cans. Seems to leave a sliver of metal on the edge, very tiny but of concern. Contacted customer service and they were excellent - quick responses and very helpful at working with me to see if it was just the fancy feast can or the opener. Seems that those two just don't work well together. They even sent me a second opener so that we could try to recreate the problem. I am keeping the original opener and returning the second one as neither will open the Fancy Feast can. They supplied a return label also. There are lots of cans in the world and this is just a minor function situation with this opener. I think it is a great product.

A very handy kitchen tool.
Color: White
This can opener is an easy, hands free tool, to use. It does open canned items efficiently, but slower than hand-turn openers, which saves a painful wrist motion from which I suffer. Unlike a traditional opener, this one cuts under the can edge which requires caution when removing the lid as exposed cut edges are very sharp. Also, the opener does not stop when it has completed its circuit. The start button has to be pressed to stop action.

Update Year Later, Love it! Really impressed
Color: Orange
Update: I've owned it a year now, still on original batteries (surprised me), it still works great. I still get a little annoyed with how slow it it, but might be time for new batteries. Once in a blue moon the circle is not completely cut, but that's on me as I control when to stop it, to reverse. No issuese removing lid, very smooth. Love it. Original review: I'm pleasantly surprised. It does a great job! Very smooth, safe cut. Who knew? That said, it is much slower than a standard electric can opener, and you have no idea where it's cutting. Now I started on the first letter on the product's label, and pay attention to when the circle is complete. Press the "on" button a second time and it goes backwards for a few seconds. Done! Use the attached magnet to pull off the lid. I'm thinking of buying a second one. Also, I very much like that it uses standard batteries, nothing weird to look for. Well done!
