The Musa tropicana, also known as the Indoor Banana Plant, is a compact variety native to Southeast Asia that adapts perfectly to apartment living. Its large, flexible, fast-growing arched leaves create a lush tropical atmosphere from the first weeks. Discover our tropical plants.

Exposure & Location
The Musa tropicana enjoys bright and warm spaces — the more intense the light, the fuller its foliage and the broader its leaves.
- Exposure: bright interior with filtered full sun — soft morning or late afternoon sun is acceptable.
- Ideal for: living room, veranda, bright entrance, office.
- Temperature: 20 to 28 °C — avoid below 15 °C.
- Substrate: rich, well-draining, and slightly moist.
Watering & Care
- Watering: regular — keep the substrate slightly moist, about once a week. Do not let water stagnate in the saucer. Our tropical ambiance guide will give you ideas to integrate the Musa into a coherent arrangement.
- Humidity: spray the leaves regularly, especially in heated interiors — too dry air causes leaf tips to brown.
- Fertilizer: once a month in spring and summer, use a nitrogen-rich fertilizer to support rapid growth.
- Pruning: remove dry leaves at the base to encourage new growth.
Decor Ideas & Plant Combinations
Its large, arched leaves make it an ideal background plant — placed behind more compact plants, it creates immediate depth and lush greenery.
- In a jungle composition: pair it with a Monstera deliciosa and an Alocasia macrorrhiza — three large tropical plants with radically different leaf shapes, creating a dense and coherent urban jungle vibe.
- As a background plant: place it in a bright corner behind a Strelitzia nicolai with upright fronds — the arched foliage of the Musa and the straight fronds of the Strelitzia create a striking contrast in form.
- Decorative pot: a terracotta or beige ceramic pot provides a warm, natural contrast with the bright green leaves.

- Allow space: delivered in a compact size, the Musa tropicana grows quickly — choose a spot that allows it to reach 80 to 120 cm without being hindered by the ceiling or furniture.
- Increase humidity in winter: heating dries the air and causes leaf tips to brown — a tray of moist clay pebbles under the pot or regular misting effectively compensates.
- Avoid cold drafts: a slightly open window in winter is enough to damage the large leaves — choose a stable location away from direct cold sources.

Super Comfortable and Soft

Feels luxurious and silky soft! It is not very thick but does keep me very warm. In fact I have to kick my legs out sometimes when I’m using it. It does shed A LOT! Will need to update after washing to see if that reduces the shedding. But it is beautiful and comfy. Is give it a 7 out of 10 for quality because of the shedding and the top and underneath pieces are only secured on the edges, which makes it move around and I have to grab the edges and shake to get its form back to normal. I would definitely purchase again. Especially if the shedding reduces it goes away after I run it through a wash cycle. I do NOT recommend drying in the dryer. It will mat I can almost guarantee that. Almost all blankets like these do if you dry them in a dryer with heat. Maybe no heat tumble might work, but NO heat.

THE BEST, LEGIT FLUFFY

This is exactly what I wanted, had to return two other blankets before I found this one. It is SO FLUFFY and soft! The pile is almost 3” long.. it is so fluffy I keep losing my remote control on it. So 5 stars I will continue to buy this blanket for every bedroom in my house we are all girls and we all love big fluffy blankies!!

You will not regret buying this blanket!
Color: Aqua, Size: Queen/King Size - 80" X 90"
I was actually looking for a cotton blanket to add to my bed for fall and winter. Then I came across THIS one. It happens to be the exact shade of (“seaglass” or teal or aqua or whatever you choose to call it) blue green that I am currently redoing my bedroom in. It was a teense more than I’d planned to spend on this project. But I was in a splurgey mood so I went for it.
I can honesty say that I’d happily pay twice as much. It’s much more beautiful and much more insanely soft than it looks in the pictures. While I don’t know how the blanket feels about me, I can assure you that I am madly in love with this gorgeous thing!
I can’t wait for it to cool off in Southern California so I can roll myself up in it. Maybe I’ll crank the A/C down to 50 degrees and pretend there are more than two seasons (summer and late summer) in California. Anyway, this would make a great gift. It would make a great gift for yourself. Self care is important! Spoil yourself! You, at the very least, deserve a cozy cuddly blanket. I’m certain that this luxurious blanket will cure insomnia. Maybe even depression. I’ve owned it for like 2 hours and I have a whole new outlook on life! I feel pampered, spoiled, like queen of the world, maybe even like Cleopatra!
I think that it should be obvious by now that I’m giving this furry looking blanket two thumbs way way up!
Sometimes I order things from Amazon and by the time they arrive Ive already forgotten about them. I was anxiously awaiting my blanket friends arrival and I was prepared to be very meh. Not this time! Nope! Best purchase ever! I know what I’m getting everyone for Christmas!
Buy several for future use. This blanket has made me deliriously happy!
Update: After owning this blanket for, like, a while, I still love it. Shockingly it washes up beautifully! A word of advice. Fabric softener is a big no no. It gets the fur gummy and feeling like unwashed hair after a month. I imagine. I’ve personally never gone with unwashed hair for more than a day or two. It is at its fluffy and soft best when you use one of those new Downey rinses instead. That seems to remove all residue and it comes out feeling even better than brand new. A word of warning. Do not picnic on this blanket. The fur will encase and preserve your crumbs better than Tupperware. You may find a lost treasure that you don’t actually want in there. Best used for sleeping only.

So soft and pretty Looks great!

This blanket is wonderful. I'm not sure if it will last or wash well but it's amazing right now. I was looking for something that had a sort of aqua color that would go with my new sheets that are aqua but still blend with my comforter which has more blue tones in it. This worked great as far as the color.
I took some pictures and my dog is in them because as soon as I put it on the bed she jumped up and was like "oh thanks Mom ...I love this" That is how soft and luxurious this feels.
Others said theirs was shedding. I took mine out of the bag and shook and no shedding. I did have trouble getting it out of the plastic and cut a few pieces with the scissors but once I got it started I just pulled to rip the plastic.
I took one pic so you could see the back. I would say it's like a fuzzy microfiber and the color is identical. It's just te right thickness. I love the design. It's warm to lay under but also has a warm look. It was a good value at just under $30. I know some people said it did not wash well but I'll be super careful when I wash it and even though it says hang dry I might tumble on a very low or cool dryer so that it does not mat. If it's a disaster I'll come back to report but prob wont wash it for a few months. Oh and no weird smells out of the bag so that was a plus for me since I have chemical sensitivities.
