The Rarest Stripes in Indoor Plants — Philodendron Birkin, Delivered Alive
There are indoor plants that are merely green. Then there is the Philodendron Birkin — dark, glossy oval leaves dressed in fine white pinstripes that radiate outward from the midrib like brushstrokes on a canvas. No two leaves look identical, and no two plants are alike. A collector plant that has somehow become accessible, the Birkin brings the kind of visual interest to a room that most plants simply cannot. Paired with the OrganicBazar branded self-watering pot — which delivers consistent, steady moisture exactly as this plant prefers — it is also genuinely easy to keep thriving.
🌿 PLANT DETAILS
- Botanical Name: Philodendron 'Birkin'
- Common Names: Philodendron Birkin, White Stripe Philodendron, Birkin Plant
- Family: Araceae
- Colour: Dark glossy green with fine white/cream pinstripes; new leaves often emerge cream-white and deepen with age
- Plant Characteristics: Air Purifying, Upright, Self-Heading, Foliage, Variegated, Chimeric
🌱 Why You Will Love It
- 🍃 Pinstripes That Belong in a Gallery: The white pinstripe variegation of the Birkin is not a uniform pattern — it shifts slightly on every leaf, making each new growth a small reveal. Younger leaves often emerge almost entirely cream-white before darkening into the classic striped form. It is a plant that genuinely changes over time.
-
🌑 A Collector Plant That Does Not Demand Collector-Level Care: The Birkin is frequently mistaken for a high-maintenance rarity. It is not. It needs bright indirect light, consistent watering, and a little humidity — conditions most Indian homes already provide. The OrganicBazar self-watering pot handles the consistency part for you.
- 🪴 Upright, Self-Heading, and Compact: The Birkin does not climb, trail, or vine. It grows upright and stays compact — 30–50 cm at full maturity indoors. Ideal for desks, shelves, and surfaces where you want presence without sprawl.
- 📦 Carefully Packed for Safe Transit: Every Birkin is hand-selected from healthy stock, packed in breathable padded material, and dispatched within 1 business day. Philodendrons travel well when packed correctly — yours arrives ready to settle in.
- ☀️ It Grows Noticeably: Unlike very slow plants, the Birkin produces a new leaf every 3–5 weeks under good conditions. There is visible, rewarding growth — a new unfurling leaf is one of the more satisfying moments in indoor gardening.
- 🎁 A Gift That Signals Thought: The Birkin is not a generic plant — it is something the recipient will not have seen at their local nursery. Paired with the OB self-watering pot, it arrives as a considered, premium gift without a premium price tag.
- 🌿 Tropical Origin, Built for Indian Homes: The Birkin is a tropical hybrid that thrives in the humidity and warmth of most Indian households — particularly during the monsoon season, which is often its best growth period.
Inside The Box

⚠️ Please Note
The plant you receive may slightly vary from the image shown due to natural growth patterns and seasonal changes. This is completely normal and a sign of authenticity. Plants are dispatched in healthy condition with proper packaging to minimise transit stress. A few leaves may droop or shed during transit — this is normal and temporary.

Great Instructions, Straightforward Assembly
Color: Black
I just received this chair today, so my product review is mostly on the packaging, instructions, and assembly.
The product was well-packaged, and it was obvious when I unboxed it that a lot of care and thought went into packing it in the most efficient way that would also protect the parts. I was positively impressed with the packaging.
I was also incredibly impressed with the instructions and assembly process. I am used to cheaper products where the parts only half fit or important components are missing, or where the instructions were confusing and unclear. This chair's instruction manual was very clear and concise. The diagrams were easy to understand and neat. The screws came labeled and separated and also included the scew types and sizes/lengths, which is handy in case you need to pick up extras at a store somewhere. But they also included one extra of each type of screw, washer, and cover, which I appreciated during assembly. (I didn't find myself worrying what would happen if I dropped a screw, which is something I would normally be distsracted by while working.)
The only things I would take points off for were these:
1. The instructions said the chair came with gloves for assembly, but no gloves were included. That was fine with me, but why mention them if you won't include them? The instructions even later say not to use the chair if not all components were present...but all the important ones were, so I assembled it without gloves (as I probably would have done anyway, since it was for me and not another person).
2. It matters which side of the seat is the front, but the sticker was confusing. The instructions show a sticker placed on the side that is the front, and that is where my sticker was placed. However, the sticker says "FRONT" and has an arrow pointing somewhere. In the instructions this arrow pointed to the front. On my seat, however, the arrow pointed to the back. So am I supposed to believe the sticker placement (it was diagonal, so it looked haphazardly slapped on) or the arrow? On that particular step the piece you are screwing into the seat can fit both ways, but thankfully there is a later step where it becomes obvious which side is the front vs. the back. (The arm rests can only be attached to the back.) So I wish that had been clearer up front, but otherwise it was okay.
Recommendations for assembly:
- To attach the wheels, apply firm, direct, straight-down pressure. I tried screwing them on at first but you just push. Make sure they go in the whole way like the picture shows.
- When they say to tighten the screws to only 60%, it's a helpful tip, because you can't fit the armrests on both the seat and chairback at the same time with the screws completely tightened. Just tighten them enough to fit the pieces on, then later you can tighten up the screws.
So far I find the chair to be very comfortable and I'm exceedingly happy with it. The lumbar support seems like it could potentially be a little chafy or scratchy, but I'll give the chair a chance before deciding if it's problematic or not. Like I said, I only got the chair today, so I can't speak much to its long-term comfort, durability, or longevity. But I was so impressed with how easy and straightforward they made the assembly that I had to write a review to show my appreciation.

It's okay
Color: Black
Appeared to be a super comfortable chair. Purchased for my mother to work from home and the material is apparently slightly itchy and the arm rest isn't quite comfortable. It was pretty simple to put together but it did take some time.

An Actual Nice Chair for a Decent Price. +2 for the Tool.
Color: Black Grey
Welp, My old chair finally broke, so It was time for a new one. I ended up coming across this chair here, and I couldn't really find anyone talking about it online. I decided to give it a shot since it was on a good sale for Christmas, going down to 99$. I'm going to be honest, I am pleasantly surprised. The cushioning for it is a little firm, but that is perfect for me. Its pretty average when it comes to office chairs, but having the added lower back support is a great touch. I have no complaints about it.
The one thing that I am actually really happy about isn't on the chair. Don't get me wrong, over the week I have been using it, It has been nothing but great. That thing is the actual tool it came with. Its a basic Allen key, but the top of it is a molded handle instead of a "L" piece of metal. It made the already easy process of putting together this chair even better. Even after this chair has ran its course like all other chairs, I'm going to still use this tool.
So yeah, I think 5 - stars pretty accurately describes how I feel about my chair.

COMFY CHAIR GOOD SUPPORT
Color: Dark Brown
So I needed an office chair because the one that I had wasn't really helping my back any. And it just didn't have enough cushion on the chair because when you want to sit for hours at your desk you want to be comfortable. So I took a chance on buying this chair. I thought the color was good and the price was right but I was still a little nervous because it said put together. So I got it right away only took 3 days. And the directions for pretty easy there were a couple of spots that I think we're out of order because you had to kind of play around with the screws going into the holes from the arms but I think if I were to get another chair like this I would probably do it my way because it's pretty self-explanatory but I followed the directions that came with the chair. And hey I'm 65 years old and I put this chair together. It's nice it's sleek and oh my God is it comfortable!!! Right where my lower back and sciatic is I get the support and it just feels good and I know that if I have to be at my desk for 3 or 4 hours I'm going to be comfortable. I highly highly recommend getting this chair.
The only issue that I had was the driver did not leave it on my porch. I had ordered a Vizio TV a couple months ago and the driver brought it up to my porch. So I just had to go out and take two steps bring it into the house I really appreciated that.
This driver didn't even come through the gate and there is no signs of any dogs because there aren't any. So this driver just left this giant heavy box it was about 35 lb in front of the garage where it was very visible from the road. And I had a dragon to my front door it was heavy I did not like that at all. But it wasn't damaged or anything and I do love the chair. I just don't like what the driver did.

Great sturdy chair and beautiful color
Color: White
I love this chair. I bought it for my home office. It is beautiful, sturdy and very comfortable. I'm not good at all with assembling even basic things but I would say that this was relatively pretty simple for someone like me to put together. Good price and good product.
