An unusual Philodendron hybrid with very hairy stems!

The actual origin of the variety is a bit unclear but it is a cross between Philodendron squamiferum and Philodendron serpens . The plant has striking red-haired stems and deep green heart-shaped velvety leaves.

Care.

Like other Philodendron varieties, this plant thrives in a warm and humid environment. This is especially important for both of these species as the hairs on the stems absorb moisture from the air. Place the potted plant in indirect bright light and water when the soil is almost completely dry . It has a tendency to climb, give the plant a support to really make it thrive and get larger leaves. Use a well-drained soil mix like our Aroid soil when repotting.

Botanical description.

Philodendron serpens originates in Ecuador and Colombia while squamiferum in northern Brazil. Both are of tropical origin and care should therefore try to mimic this environment as best as possible. However, they grow in quite low light levels naturally and can therefore thrive quite well indoors!

Appearance.

Philodendron serpens is one of the most unusual species in the genus. The petioles are extremely hairy , and the leaf shape, together with the angle of the petiole attachment, resembles a snake just before it strikes. Sepens means snake in Greek!

Philodendron squamiferum also has this hairy petiole but greener leaves than P. serpens. The combination results in a very unique appearance that combines desirable traits from both parents. Buy Philodendron squamiferum x serpens online!

Good For Deep Sinks
Color: Silver
This item is very sturdy however the piece on the outside that holds your rag tends to slip or lay flat all the time. The adhesive is very strong to the point where I needed to use a tool to get it off while moving, so you’ll never have to worry about it popping off your sink! I can only figure that this fits in all sinks because at my old apartment I had a very small sink the only thing I didn’t like due to having a small sink my rag was always touching the bottom of the sink and there wasn’t any space left in the side I had it on. If you have a big sink I’d suggest this item because it looks nice and it gives your wash cloth and sponge a home in the kitchen!

Worth every penny!!
Color: Black
This kitchen sink caddy was exactly what I wanted. It's well made and small enough to fit on my new sink. It holds soap, dish rag or small sponge, drain stopper, and my two scrub brushes. Looks good, too

This kitchen sink sponge holder is simple yet highly effective. It keeps the sponge neatly in place, allows it to dry quickly, and makes the sink area look tidy. The sturdy material and easy-clean design make it a great little addition to any kitchen.

Strong sturdy reliable and versatile
Color: Black
This is a great little side piece to use for your kitchen sink or bathroom mine is in my kitchen sink it works great it sits on the side it's the perfect length holds my scrubber soap and other stuff I need instead of using a makeshift bowl. It's sturdy rust-resistant and I put it through the tests it gets wet every time I do which is every day in this house. You can use it for just about anything. There are no suction cups on it but there is a gray under it that catches all the loose water which is also very convenient. It looks modern and compliments most sinks and kitchens well

Good Quality but Limited Space for Multiple Bottles
Color: Black
This organizer is decent quality, but it ended up being smaller than I expected. For reference, I usually keep the following items at my sink: • Dawn squeeze dish soap • Mrs. Meyers hand soap • Dr. Brown’s bottle soap • A sponge • A bottle brush All of these items fit comfortably in my previous sink caddy that I bought on Amazon. Unfortunately that one eventually started peeling and rusting, which is why I replaced it. With this one, the narrow section on the left side limits how much you can actually store. It works well for the brush, but it reduces the usable space for bottles. Because of that, fitting multiple soap bottles plus a sponge is a little tight. I also think my previous organizer was slightly wider, which made a bigger difference than I realized. One feature I do like is the removable plastic tray on the bottom. It catches water well and keeps the counter from getting messy, which is a nice touch. Overall, it’s usable and I will keep it, but if you normally keep several bottles and tools at your sink like I do, I would recommend paying close attention to the measurements before ordering.
