Winter Radish China Rose

Pack size: approximately 400 seeds

Sow: June to September

Harvest: September to December

TRADITIONAL HERITAGE RADISH VARIETY: Radish Chine Rose or Rose d'Hiver de Chine is a pink skinned winter radish with crisp white flesh and a peppery flavour. Add liberally to tacos, homemade coleslaw or toss in stir fry or on top of leafy green salads for a crunchy texture. The thought of sowing radish seeds brings back childhood memories for countless gardeners who were given the vegetable to grow as an introduction to gardening, because of its ease to grow.

LATE SEASON WINTER RADISH: A heritage/heirloom radish variety with crisp tasty flesh which can be sliced or grated for use in winter salads. China Rose has medium large oblong shaped roots with rose pink skin and pure white flesh. This variety can be harvested in autumn and stored in dry sand in frost free conditions. Nowadays there is a vast range of radish and they taste beautiful when sliced in salads or taken whole on a picnic as a snack.

HOW TO PLANT: Soak your radish seeds in water before you sow. Plant radish seeds from June to September and harvest from September to December for best results. Plant in deeply worked-up soil, a half inch deep and 1 inch apart. As the plant begins to grow, thin the seedlings 2-3 inches apart for larger radishes. Keep the soil moist but not too wet and water in the morning to set the plant up for a day of growing in the sunshine.

TOP GROWING TIPS: Salad radishes fill up gaps on plots perfectly, filling space between slower-growing crops such as potatoes, beans or peas. Some growers also use radishes as row markers as they germinate quickly, marking where other crops have been grown. Protect winter crops with cloches. Winter radish can stay in the ground until Christmas or can be lifted and stored in boxes of sand when they are about 10cm long. Plant every two weeks for a consistent harvest.

GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS: Radishes are a great starter vegetable to grow quickly to see results. Planting veg, herbs and flowers is a wonderful way to spend time in your garden, cultivate mindfulness and appreciate the little things just like in years gone by. Growing crops is immensely satisfying – teach your children or grandchildren this priceless skill of harvesting food in their gardens, allotments, greenhouses, on balconies, inside the home in pots or even in community gardens!

All of our seeds are produced in the UK and are supplied in sealed packets with growing instructions.

Great toys for small dogs
Bought for two cocker spaniels. They both love the toys. Haven’t figured out how to make the squeakers squeak yet but are having fun tossing them and chewing on them. Also appreciate the bag to keep the toys in after play time is over,

Cute toys for tiny pups
These are much better than I expected at this price. My new puppy is a 2 pound Papillon and it’s not easy finding toys small enough. These are a good size for him and he is enjoying the squeakers and crinkle paper. It’s nice to have a bunch of them so when he starts nipping at my fingers or other things he isn’t allowed to chew, I always have a toy handy to divert his attention.

Wonderful
Set name: 8 Pack Plush Squeaky Toys
My dog has a very small mouth and she loves these these because she can actually play with them. They are sturdy, soft, squeaker works well, and a good variety of shapes and colors. Would purchase again and recommend.

Great deal!
We bought these right after we adopted our puppy. This bundle is a great value and has a good assortment of toys. The only ones that didn’t last were the three soft plastic “teething” rings/triangle. He was able to chew them apart very quickly so we just threw them away. But other than that, he loves the squeaker toys, the rope toys, the ball, and the ball you can hide treats in. His favorite is the crinkle fox! It was the first toy we gave him upon coming home with us and it’s been his baby. Eventually he chewed off the ears and feet but he still plays fetch with the Fox worm. LOL! The rope toys are great for teething as well and he enjoys chasing them. The 4 rolls of poop bags were a great bonus as well! I’m so happy we brought this and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a variety of dog/puppy toys for a good price. The squeaker toys are also super cute. I love the banana and the avacado.
