Originally, the Yucca Rostrata comes from northeast Mexico, West Texas and the Chihuahua desert.
Care and tips Yucca Rostrata - 170cm
The Yucca is a real sunbather and does not need much water. If you have the Yucca Rostrata outside in the winter months, the plant may be sensitive to moisture. It is important that the Yucca Rostrata has a good drainage system in the pot so that water can escape. It is also advisable to protect the plant from moisture in the autumn months with a cover. Too much moisture can cause rotting and of course you want to avoid this!
Water requirements of the Yucca Rostrata - 170cm
The Yucca Rostrata originates from very dry areas and is therefore not a fan of too much water. You don't need to water the Yucca Rostrata very often, as it is a slow grower and simply doesn't consume much water. Do check the soil once a week and make sure it doesn't dry out completely. If the soil feels very dry, you can water a little until it feels moderately moist. Always check the quantity and frequency in the beginning.
Light requirements of the Yucca Rostrata - 170cm
The Yucca Rostrata likes sun and tolerates direct sunlight well. Move the plant as little as possible, as it needs to get used to a new spot, which can disrupt its growth. The Yucca is hardy to -20°C, however, we recommend the use of special covers, cloths or bubble wrap to protect the plant in case of persistent frost.

The Yucca Rostrata is absolutely non-toxic when touched. We always advise against consuming or incorporating the leaves or other parts of the plant into food.
