Pyrethrin is approved for use in organic growing (though, as with all additives and amendments, it needs to be cleared with a certifier prior to use.)

Note that Pyrethrin is broad-spectrum and can impact nearly any insect, so use carefully and only at the onset of active infestations of specific pests: Japanese Beetles, Tarnished Plant Bugs, Cucumber Beetles, etc.
