String of Hearts, scientifically known as Ceropegia woodii, is a charming and delicate trailing plant known for its unique and attractive appearance. Native to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Swaziland, this plant features small, heart-shaped leaves that are deep green with variegated silver markings on the top and a purplish hue on the underside. The leaves grow along slender, vine-like stems that can drape down several feet when properly cared for, making it an ideal choice for hanging baskets or high shelves. During late summer to early fall, String of Hearts produces small, tubular pink to purple flowers that add an extra touch of beauty to its already striking foliage.
