About Portulacaria afra "Medio-picta' / Midstripe Rainbow Bush (4 inch)

Portulacaria afra "Medio-picta' belongs to the family of succulents in the family Pankinaceae. The leaves of Portulacaria afra 'Medio-picta' are usually small, fleshy, and oval in shape, ranging in color from green to cream and pink.
Similar to Portulacaria afra "Medio-picta", there is a cultivar called "Rainbow Elephant Bush". They differ in the placement of their yellow markings., 'Rainbow Elephant Bush' has a slower growth rate compared to 'Rainbow Elephant Bush'. Besides, there is a tendency for this species to develop into a woody bush over time.
In addition, its drought tolerance is one of its special features, which makes it suitable for busy city life and people who like to keep ornamental plants.

How to care for Midstripe Rainbow Bush

Sun/Temperature: Midstripe Rainbow Bush prefers bright, indirect sunlight. The plant thrives in temperatures ranging between 59 and 86°F, with slightly higher temperatures during summer being tolerable. However, it should be shielded from direct sun exposure during this time. In In winter, it's best to keep the plant indoors to avoid temperatures dropping below 41°F.

Soil/Watering/Pot: To avoid root problems due to overwatering, it is recommended to choose a well-drained soil and a pot suitable for succulents. Care should be taken to water sparingly and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. The "soak and water" method is suitable.

Propagation: Midstripe Rainbow Bush is most easily propagated successfully by cuttings. It is recommended that stem cuttings be selected to isolate the original plant and inserted into moist soil or nutrient solution and allowed to root and grow into new plants.

This book has excellent advice for all Christians, as well as those not sure of what the Bible says. The passages, illustrations, scriptures are presented logically, Biblically, and hold much wisdom. I enjoyed the encouragement, practical steps that all can use.

Diverse Worship--Make A Joyful Noise Unto The Lord All Ye Lands
Format: Hardcover
I love this beautifully illustrated story. Children and adults, too, learn God's vision for His church—true worship. Author Dorena Williamson presents an image of a church no longer divided by race, culture, or style of worship. Instead, the church is a gathering of God's people celebrating who He is and all He has done. Also included are author notes suggesting ways to share the importance of embracing and celebrating God's diverse world with children.

We Are Better Together
Format: Hardcover
One Sunday morning when all the Sunday school classes landed in a heap for a multi-generational assembly followed by muffins, I read aloud from The Celebration Place, Dorena Williamson’s anthem to the Body of Christ gathered. How refreshing to share the truth that worship (and worshipers!) will look and participate differently in other places! Here in rural Maine where a choir is as rare a sight as a brown face, Erin Bennett Banks’s vivid illustrations enriched the text, and I was pleased to hear adult chuckles accompanying the page about rappers “nodding to the beat” while “old folks stomp their feet.” Together, author and illustrator announce the church as “no longer a divided space. Now it’s a celebration place!” With so many fractures in our world upon which we can distance and divide, the pursuit of unity in the Body of Christ is difficult but crucial. The work toward delightful diversity done today in God’s House is affirmation of the truth that we are better together, and it is preparation for the day when we will join with all nations God has made to glorify his name, for he is great and worthy of our celebration. Many thanks to IVP Kids for providing a copy of this book to facilitate my review, which is, of course, offered freely and with honesty.
