Summary: With its electrifying chartreuse leaves, the Epipremnum aureum 'Neon' (P12, H35 cm) instantly brightens any room. This hardy climber is perfect for German apartments and European homes in need of an easy-care, statement houseplant.
✨ Why You'll Love the Epipremnum aureum 'Neon'
- Striking, fluorescent-green foliage that stands out in any collection
- Medium size (P12, H35 cm) with long trailing vines, ideal for shelves or hanging planters
- Excellent air-purifier for healthier indoor environments
- Very low-maintenance—perfect for busy plant lovers
🌞 Light & Placement
Neon Pothos thrives in bright, indirect light but adapts to medium or even lower light. More light enhances its vivid lime tones. Place it on a shelf, in a hanging basket, or let it climb for a bold splash of color.
💧 Water & Humidity
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil are dry. This plant tolerates some neglect and bounces back quickly from missed waterings. Average indoor humidity in European homes is enough, but misting helps maintain leaf vibrancy in dry winters.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Prefers a well-draining mix with perlite and peat or coco coir. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh soil and support new growth.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Not pet-safe. Keep away from pets and children, as ingestion can cause irritation.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
Fast-growing, especially in warmer months. Easily propagated by stem cuttings in water or directly in soil. Share cuttings with friends to spread the neon joy!
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce watering and feeding in winter as growth slows naturally.
🐛 Common Issues
- Leggy vines: Caused by too little light—move closer to a bright window.
- Yellow leaves: Often a sign of overwatering.
- Brown tips: May occur in dry air; increase humidity with misting.
🧬 Botanical Background
Epipremnum aureum 'Neon' is a cultivar of the beloved Pothos family, native to Southeast Asia. Its uniquely vibrant foliage has made it a global favorite, especially in European homes, where it adds a fresh, modern pop of color to urban interiors.
