It is also valued as a relatively low-maintenance houseplant, a fast-growing statement plant, and an air purifier that helps improve indoor air quality.

Germination Guide
- These are expensive and rare seeds so please take your time!
- Prepare a light, fertiliser free compost mix - ideally 50:50 mix of coco coir & vermiculite
- Soak seeds overnight in a small bowl of water with a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide if you have it - this is optional but H2O2 helps soften the seed coat & also kills any fungus or bacteria on the seed coat
- Fill pots with the compost mix, moist but not wet
- Keeping the soil warm helps speed up germination (like 75-80F).
- Sow seeds individually around 3cm deep and cover
- Place pots on a heated tray or reptile heat mat (very cheap) to maintain temperature of 24-28c
- Lightly cover the pots but leave some air holes for ventilation
- Ensure does not dry out
- Germination can take 7 to 21 days depending on conditions
- Once sprouted, remove any cover
- Once plants have several true leaves a quarter strength liquid feed can be added
- Basic care for monstera is just bright, indirect light & water when dry.
- Don't use heavy potting soil that holds a lot of water, they like chunky well drained potting soil.

Husky chew proof....so far
My husky has a habit of gutting and destroying any squeaky chew toy I have gotten for her. This one so far has lasted a over a month now I must say it does make her work for a treat when hidden in the center of it. So far all the stitching and parts are attached and like new. The plastic center where you hid the treats is intact, the firmness of it does make it difficult to get the treats you put in hard to remove-so choose wisely and not put in large pieces as there is one of the first pieces still inside the center as even I can't get it out.
So my girl she enjoys carrying it around and playing with it so this chew toy is a win for this husky owner

DANGER
DO NOT BUY!!! DANGER! We have had the turtle ones before and then got these. Be we bought two. there is a plug peice in the end that popped out. My dog ate it the first time and had to have emergency surgery because it was stuck in his intestines. We had it removed which cost THOUSANDS of dollars. Also was on vacation when it happened and had to come early when the sitter informed us he was ill. We felt guilty for month! had he got something in our house or yard was it our faults. We saved what they removed which looked like a cork but we dont drink wine. we have a frenchie that doesnt enjoys long walks on the beach if you know what i mean so would not have had access to eat something other places he doesnt relaly go anywhere. This was his favorite toy for a long time so when it got dirty outside, we threw away the first one and took out the second one to replace it . One day i was sitting playing fetch with him when i saw the plug peice come out. I caught it and took it out of his mouth. I IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED IT. I ran to grab the zip lock bag the vet gave us with the cork looking item covered in gunk and slime from inside his intestines, ran to the sink to rinse it off and what do you know. mystery was solved. This toy could have killed my dog !

THE favorite toy

I found this toy used at a thrift store almost 1 year ago. My Shih tzu mix loved it so much till all the seams ripped out and 2 out of 3 squeekers fell out and it was shambles, hardly usable at all. 1 week ago I decided to try my luck to find a similar shark toy for Finnegan. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found THE EXACT same toy!! When I unboxed it, I put the old and new side-by-side and imagine his surprise, it was priceless! Very pleased with this.

Best Dog Toy Ever!

Unbelievable. See below previous reviews. Today is 3/22/2023 (4th Update): Cavachon is now three years old. THIS MONKEY is STILL played with DAILY. She’s played with and lost interest in dozens of other toys in the past three years, but Monkey is always the go-to. Now only on Monkey #6, which is remarkable considering the daily torture she puts Monkey through. Other toys get destroyed, but Monkey endures. This toy is our dog’s best friend and playmate!
10/9/21 (3rd update): Its rare that any toy (without food inside) keeps the interest of our Cavachon for even 30 minutes… yet day after day, she runs around with Monkey for at least an hour. She’s on her 4th Monkey… and this thing gets mauled, chewed, super-squeaked, fetched, and shook violently EVERY DAY. Durability times ten!
2/21/21 (2nd Update): Crazy pup is now 14 months old, and she plays DAILY with “monkey”! She’s on her third monkey because eventually she pulls off the tail, but each of her first two lasted months.
ORIGINAL REVIEW MAY 2020: There is something really special about this monkey... Our 5-month-old Cavachon LOVES this toy. I recently ordered a second one, in case she wears out the first one. She knows it’s her “monkey” and finds it when we ask her “Where’s monkey?” She fetches it, walks around squeaking it, and she also zooms around the house shaking it furiously by the tail. She’s been playing with, and chewing on all parts of It, DAILY for three months. In the photo, you can compare the brand-new one, still on the cardboard, with the one she’s mauled for three months. Not much difference. I would say this is an extremely durable, and safe, toy.
