The Philodendron Orange Congo Plant (Philodendron 'Orange Congo') is a striking hybrid plant from the Araceae family, renowned for its vibrant orange to red new growth that gradually matures into deep green leaves. Though the exact origin of this cultivar is unclear, it is likely a cross of several Philodendron species. This plant thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate some low light conditions, although this may cause it to lose some of its vibrant coloration. In Singapore's tropical climate, the Philodendron Orange Congo should be watered once a week, ensuring the top inch of soil dries out between waterings to prevent root rot. Adjust watering frequency based on humidity levels and rainfall. This plant is relatively easy to care for, making it suitable for beginners, and it is also an effective air purifier, improving indoor air quality.
