The plug works by turning colors, giving parents a visual cue, letting them know that the water temperature is getting warmer and needs to be checked. Please note that the plug is not a thermometer. It's a sturdy chew toy
Color: Red
Definitely sturdy for a hearty chewer, but my dog wasn't that interested in it. For a treat I spread some peanut butter on it and the design has grooves so she spends some time licking the peanut butter. And it comes with 3 good size chew toys, so cheap enough to try and your dog might love them. Taking out of packing they did have that meat smell as advertised
