When the tubers are large enough, this aroid produces the prototypical 15" tall, phallic pink flowers near ground level in early to mid June. The leaves of Amorphophallus bulbifer 'Old Warty', which arise in late June (don't call us in May), are held atop 4' tall stalks laden with intercalary (between the leaf segments) bulbils in August
