Bird & Butterfly Mix - Wildflower Seeds for a Pollinator-Pleasing Garden

Turn your outdoor space into a lively haven for birds and butterflies with the Bird & Butterfly Mix of wildflower seeds. This thoughtfully crafted blend bursts into color in 60-90 days, delivering nectar-rich blooms that invite pollinators to visit throughout the season.

What makes this mix stand out is its clear purpose: a diverse range of nectar-packed flowers designed to attract and sustain birds and butterflies. With an approximate 30 seeds in the packet, it’s a compact, versatile option for gardeners working with smaller plots, borders, or container gardens who want meaningful, visible results without a heavy seed load.

  • Approximately 30 seeds in the packet for flexible planting in beds, borders, or pots.
  • Blooms emerge in roughly 60-90 days, offering a reliable display across weeks of growing season.
  • Specifically crafted to attract both birds and butterflies, supporting local pollinators with steady nectar sources.
  • Ideal for sunny borders, raised beds, and decorative containers where color and wildlife interest are a priority.

Practical tips to get the most from your Bird & Butterfly Mix:

  • Choose a sunny, well-drained planting area. Scatter seeds lightly on the soil surface and press down gently, keeping the area evenly moist until germination.
  • Space plantings to create a continuous nectar corridor, ensuring a steady flow of blooms throughout the season.
  • Re-seed as needed in subsequent seasons to maintain vibrant color and ongoing pollinator support.

Who this is for: gardeners seeking wildlife-friendly color with clear, measurable results; urban planters aiming to boost biodiversity in small spaces; and families building educational, pollinator-friendly spaces where kids can observe nature in action.

Why choose the Bird & Butterfly Mix over generic wildflower blends? It’s purpose-built to deliver visible, wildlife-friendly blooms within a predictable 60-90 day window, with a seed quantity that’s practical for manageable, noticeable displays—so you see the impact without commitment beyond what you need.

Best book I've read in last 10 years!
Format: Paperback
I'm absolutely blown away. I finished the book this morning. I have been recommending it to anyone and everyone who asks me "So, what you reading?". I'm known for having a book stack a mile high. I ran out of my first yellow highlighter! Profound stuff. The subtitle, How African American Literature Can Make Our Faith More Whole and Just, doesn't do the book justice. It is soooo much more. I highly recommend!

Countee Cullen chapter
Format: Paperback
This book is a great read. I’m not even sure how to encapsulate my thoughts on it, but let me say the chapter, “Jesus,” on the poetry of Countee Cullen is brilliant and a masterclass on discipleship, suffering, identity, projecting onto Jesus. This one chapter could literally be a course in Christian discipleship handling multiple aspects of the life of faith. I feel like I’m not doing the chapter, the book, or Claude Atcho justice here, but I deeply recommend this book and urge readers to really sit with the Cullen chapter and all its implications. What a gift Claude Atcho has given us here!

An exceptional, stunningly beautiful, and greatly needed book
Format: Paperback
Have you ever finished a book so heavy with truth and beauty and goodness that you don’t know how to sum it up? That’s where I am upon completing Claude Atcho’s Reading Black Books: How African American Literature Can Make Our Faith More Whole and Just. I’m the sort who marks up books with notes, underlining, and asterisks. Pages with ideas I want to return to get a folded corner. For this book? More pages are folded than not and a flip through the book reveals copious amounts of fuchsia markings. Full disclosure: Claude is a writer friend; we’ve chatted about faith, books, work, writing, and podcasting. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of his book, knowing it would be fantastic. You might think I was biased in that assumption, considering our previous connection, considering I received an ARC from Brazos Press. What I found from the first pages was even more than expected: my friend as pastor, shepherd, prophet, counselor, guide. Claude features 10 key creative African American works to cast a vision for human flourishing rooted in the power and love of God found in Jesus Christ. Just listen to this moving excerpt: “Healing is found in the constant individual and communal turn toward the tender mercies of God, who calls us to a theological remembrance: to locate our history in his, to make sense of our memory in his memory, to process our wounds in his wounds” (126). This book is beautifully written, theologically robust, and desperately needed. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It is stunning.

A rich and rewarding book
Format: Kindle
I highly recommend Claude Atcho's "Reading Black Books," Brazos Press. As noted in the description each chapter is devoted to an acclaimed work of African American literature. I intend to read some of these themselves followed by re-reading Mr. Atcho's corresponding chapter making notes and thinking more deeply about his analysis and discussion of principles of race, Christian theology, and ethics. However, it is not necessary to be familiar with the works cited or go that deep into them to appreciate "Black Books" conclusions. It is clearly written by a lover of literature who is well read, profound, eloquent, and an exceptional analyst. This is a great resource that goes well beyond the 10 works evaluated to give the reader references and footnotes of many other books begging for further study. As a white reader I found myself confronted several times with my own inherent bias. Growing in our understanding of others, ourselves, race, and the Kingdom of God is why we read a book like this. "Reading Black Books" delivers on all counts.
