Philodendron gloriosum ‘Snow Leopard’ is a highly prized variegated form of the terrestrial-crawling species Philodendron gloriosum. This cultivar is named for its dramatic foliage, heart-shaped, velvety leaves patterned with irregular creamy white or pale green variegation set against deep green. Each leaf displays unique markings, and the overall effect resembles the mottled coat of a snow leopard. The plant grows horizontally, with its thick rhizome creeping along the surface of the soil rather than climbing.

The ‘Snow Leopard’ retains the growth habit of the species, which is native to Colombia’s humid forest understory. It spreads gradually across the pot or planter surface, producing one large leaf at a time from the rhizome, and requires stable conditions to show its full variegated potential.

Native to: Colombia (tropical rainforest understory); this variegated form is a cultivated selection.

Water: Keep the substrate evenly moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry slightly before watering again. This cultivar grows more slowly than the standard form, so it is more vulnerable to rot if overwatered.

Light: Provide bright filtered light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the lighter variegated areas. Too little light may cause the variegation to fade or revert toward green.

Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, ideally 60–80%. The foliage remains healthier and the variegation more stable in a consistently humid environment with good air circulation.

Temperature: Keep at indoor temperatures between 18–26 °C. Do not allow temperatures to fall below 15 °C. Avoid placing near cold windows or dry heat sources such as radiators.

This is the ONLY paper that works well with SP-1
Style: 100ct
This is the only paper that works well with the Brother SP-1 sublimation printer. The instructions on using the paper are a little weird, but as long as the cut corner remains in the lower right of the printer tray, you'll be okay. I can't say that there's a lot of consistency in printing with this paper. Sometimes photos I've printed for items look really great, other times the photos are quite muted. This is a CMYK printer, which means you won't see the vibrant colors you see on your computer monitor. Often a red-boost in saturation in PS will help with some of that problem. The other issue is there's no real color management profile defined if you're printing directly from Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Even if you use matching CMYK colors in your artwork, don't expect those colors to work in sublimation. For simple artwork, with few color gradations, this seems to work pretty well. So, if you have an SP-1, this is the only paper you should use.
