Our 10+ cubic feet bag weighs approximately 30 pounds (285 liters) and covers about 121 square feet at a one-inch depth.

  • Absorbs 4x Its Own Weight - Hemp is 75% cellulose and a natural absorbent—the perfect material to keep your animal dry and happy. Yes, that’s right—four times its weight, compared to 2X for wood and paper products. This means you need to clean and change bedding less often.
  • Reduces Odors - When hemp bedding is used, urine goes straight to the bottom, keeping the surface clean and dry. Odors become trapped under the surface, reducing ammonia and other odors much better than wood chips or sawdust. Reducing odor helps control flies and makes a more pleasing environment for you and your animals. Perfect for a barn full of horse stalls or your backyard chicken coop!
  • Low Dust Means Improved Air Quality - Dust compromises the quality of air for your animal and can easily lead to breathing complications. Hemp bedding offers a low-dust environment, which is crucial for your animals' health. It has air pockets and excellent heat retention properties compared to sawdust or pine shavings.
  • Biodegradable = Better for Animals and the Planet - Hemp bedding degrades faster than most animal care products such as wood shavings and sawdust. Perfect for your garden compost. Support sustainable farming practices and help create a larger demand for Hemp. The earth and economy will thank you for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • At Dominion Hemp, we understand that hemp and hemp bedding are relatively new products to many people. We hope these frequently asked questions and information help educate you about our incredible product.
  • Is Dominion Hemp bedding made from fiber hemp stalks, CBD plant stalks, or grain stalks?
Our hemp bedding is made from fiber hemp stalks. Fiber hemp is typically more mature and absorbent than CBD or grain hurd. Hurd is the material we use for the hemp bedding.
  • How many bags do I need for an 8' x 6' Chicken coop? One to two bags will cover the hen boxes and an 8' x 6' chicken run. Please see our application chart on our hemp bedding for chickens page.
  • How many bags do I need for a 12' x 12' horse stall? One large bag will cover 10+ cubic feet at a one-inch depth; most equine clients use three to five bags, adding one bag every 4-7 days to replace the soiled material.
  • Can I use my spent/soiled hemp for composing or spread it into my field?
Yes, we have many clients who use soiled hemp for composting. Hemp is biodegradable and does not have the acidity of pine shavings.
  • There seems to be black dust in our hemp bedding. Is this dust?
No, this is called the fines of the hemp hurd. This micro-material is great for absorption and will not become airborne.
  • What material is in the bag other than hemp hurd? Our hemp bedding is 100% hemp hurd. We do not add any other material to it.
  • Are there any pesticides or herbicides in the hemp? No, the material we received is grown without pesticides.
  • If my animal eats the hemp, will it harm them? Your pet may initially nibble at the hemp bedding out of curiosity; this is common with many animals. They quickly lose interest. Hemp hurd is part of the plant but not appealing to many animals’ palettes.
  • If you notice your pet is eating abnormal amounts of their bedding, there could be an underlying issue, and you should contact a veterinarian.
  • If my pet eats the hemp, will they get high or fail a drug test? This is our favorite question; the answer is NO. There is no THC in our hemp bedding.

  • Each bale is approximately 10+ cubic feet*

Good soundbar for a bedroom
Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
I own a Fire TV (not the stick) and kept having volume issues on everything so finally picked up this sound bar by Amazon. It's an excellent value for the price on Black Friday / Cyber Monday. Football games, TV shows, Netflix movies &, Amazon prime now sound clear and good and the movies get brought to life with bass. Just don't expect the movie experience to be like your media room or main TV where you have a proper audio setup. This is meant for a bedroom not a family room. When doing setup be sure to select eArch in the FireTV audio settings I found if you leave it set as AUTO the SoundBar tends not to automatical turn off. Pros: Setup is simple and takes five minutes or less (unless ur doing a wall mount). Mine is setting on a TV cabinet. The original FireTV remote works with out needing to switch to the one that is in the box (unless want to change the EQ settings). Came with an HDMI cable as most sound bars by the bigger brands do not include one. Sound quality is impressive along with the bass (I haven't changed any settings).. I do car audio installations I was impressed by the bass as to no subwoofer. It's not going to rock the room but for a bedroom it provides enough. If you expected to shake the room then you need the Amazon 3.1 soundbar which is made for a family room. Bluetooth audio also sounds great when connected to a mobile phone as the source. Cons: Seems a few times the volume settings has a lag when you increase or decrease the volume by a few seconds. Final impression: I found it to be a good purchase with good sound quality.

A Solid Entry-Level Option!
Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar, Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar offers a decent audio upgrade for those looking to improve their TV's built-in sound without breaking the bank. Dolby Audio, along with the convenience of Fire TV integration. However, it's important to have realistic expectations given its price point. What's Good: Easy Setup: Connecting the soundbar is a breeze, especially if you already have a Fire TV device. The setup process is guided and intuitive. Fire TV Integration: This is a major selling point. Seamlessly controlling the soundbar with your Fire TV remote is incredibly convenient. No juggling multiple remotes! Improved Sound over TV Speakers: The soundbar definitely provides a noticeable improvement in clarity and depth compared to most television speakers. Dialogue is clearer, and the overall soundstage is wider. Compact Size: The soundbar's slim profile fits nicely under most TVs without being intrusive. Affordable Price: This is a budget-friendly option for those wanting better sound without a huge investment. Bluetooth Connectivity: The ability to stream music wirelessly from your phone or other Bluetooth devices is a welcome addition. What's Not So Good: Limited Bass: Being a 2.0 system, the bass response is somewhat lacking. While it adds some low-end presence, it won't satisfy those looking for deep, rumbling bass for action movies or music. Consider a subwoofer if bass is a priority. Virtual Surround Sound: While DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio are present, the simulated surround sound effect is subtle. Don't expect a truly immersive experience. It provides a slightly wider soundstage, but it's not a replacement for a dedicated surround sound system. Sound Quality Could Be Better: While better than TV speakers, the overall sound quality is adequate, not exceptional. The mid-range can sometimes sound a bit muddy. Limited Connectivity: The soundbar primarily focuses on Fire TV integration. While it has Bluetooth, it lacks other input options like HDMI ARC, which could limit its versatility. Overall: The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar is a good entry-level soundbar for those primarily focused on improving the audio from their Fire TV and who are on a budget. The seamless Fire TV integration and improved dialogue clarity are its strongest points. However, if you're a serious audiophile or crave powerful bass, you'll likely need to spend more for a higher-end system. This soundbar is best suited for casual viewers who want a simple and affordable upgrade to their TV's built-in speakers.

Happy for now but not impressed
Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
So, I have a insignia fire tv so you would think an Amazon fire soundbar would work perfectly? It was particularly hard to set up, but the issue was that tv speakers wouldn't switch off so I would have an echoing, double effect of audio. The setting said they were off, but they were not. In fact, I couldn't even switch them off normally. Even with nothing connected, I switch them off and still get sound pushed through. I kept trying to fix it. What I had to do was: 1) Settings 2) HDMI-CEC control 3) Switch One Touch Play off 4) Turn off Soundbar 5) Set Volume to 0 6) Turn Soundbar back on That seem to let the soundbar function independently, get rid of the echoing, and get everything to work as described. The downside, the volume will only go up and down at 2 intervals despite what I set it to internally. And, there is no easy way to switch between the TV and sound bar for audio without screwing up the good result I got after working all day on it. Also, make sure you plug into your first HDMI port/Arc port. I had my gaming console set up and didn't realize my intital issue of no sound was the fact that I needed to swap the ports. Frankly, being an Amazon soundbar with and Amazon TV that specifically has a set up for it. I would say the functionality kind of sucks because it it should just work, like it says it should, by following the instructions without having to search up and down for way to keep both audios from playing. Like, the setting say the internal speakers were off despite being a lie and that setting effected nothing. It made it more difficult them it needed to get it to work somewhat normally. I would prefer to set it so volume interval is 1 but I guess to make this usable I am stuck at 2 everytime. And, I better hope that nothing changes and messes it up again in a update to the TV. The sound itself is a improvement, and there is a marked difference between regular and surround sound. It sort of like watching TV versus going to a theater. It terms of the way it fills the room and hits your ear. I can't say that the movie, music, dialogue settings seem to different to me. The size is okay. It just tall enough to not block my screen. The length is just about the size of my dresser. Depth is about 3.5 inches so as long as you have another room in front or to push back your TV, you will be fine. Overall, it is nice but I am not sure if I am total happy I bought it considering it was almost $90 for what I would categorize as works okay. I feel like for that price, and the fact I specifically bought Amazon for the fact I thought it would better with fire tv, that I am not blown away. Happy for now, but not impressed.
