These uniquely designed tribeca planters are produced by innovatively mixing cement and styrofoam. Not only is this a environmentally friendly product, but also lite-weight.  The finished product will have the appearance of cement and small holes similar to styrofoam.  Perfect for outdoor use!

🌿 Plant & Greenery Ideas

  1. Statement Palms or Small Trees
    • Perfect for areca palms, bird of paradise, or dwarf citrus.
    • Gives height and presence at entrances, lanais, or hotel lobbies.
  2. Layered Tropical Planting
    • Tall centerpiece (ti plant, heliconia, or monstera) surrounded by trailing ferns or pothos.
    • Adds lush volume and makes the planter a mini garden.
  3. Succulent + Cactus Tower
    • For modern homes: fill with succulents/cacti of varying heights, top-dressed with black lava rock.
    • Especially striking in the darker Tribeca finishes.

💧 Water & Fire Features

  1. Fountain Conversion
    • Install a small bubbler or cascading fountain insert.
    • The tall shape creates a clean vertical water flow effect.
  2. Floating Floral Display (scaled up)
    • Fill partially with water, float orchids, hibiscus, or plumeria.
    • Works best for special occasions or event décor.
  3. Fire Bowl Adaptation
    • Convert with fire glass + burner kit → instant modern fire feature.
    • Pairing black Tribeca planters with reflective glass is especially striking.

🕯️ Decorative & Seasonal

  1. Lantern Tower
    • Place large LED candles inside for a warm evening glow.
    • Use sand/stone at the base to anchor them.
  2. Seasonal Showcase
    • Summer: tropical fruits & pineapples.
    • Fall: dried leaves, gourds, and pampas grass.
    • Winter: ornaments, twinkling lights, or poinsettia arrangements.

An excellent book...a must read!
Format: Paperback
Ruthie Gilmore's examination of California's prison-industrial complex paints a sobering portrait of the effects of the state's post-industrial decline in the past quarter century. Supplemented by numerous charts, maps, and statistics, Gilmore argues that the massive prison-building project that began in the early 1980s was rooted in earlier developments, namely the failure of the "welfare-warfare state" to absorb the numerous surpluses created by political and economic restructuring. Combining theory and historical-sociological analysis, this highly readable book is at once depressing and optimistic; it lays out the facts and guidelines for pursuing meaningful, antiracist struggles against the systemic dehumanization of immigrants, low-wage workers, and youths of color that continues to characterize U.S. political culture.
