Spider Plant 'Reverse': A Unique Twist on a Classic Favorite

The Spider Plant 'Reverse' (Chlorophytum comosum ‘Reverse Variegatum’) is a stunning variation of the beloved Spider Plant, offering a fresh take on its classic beauty. Unlike the traditional Spider Plant, the 'Reverse' variety features wide green centers framed by creamy white edges, creating a bold, clean contrast that instantly catches the eye.

Its arching, fountain-like leaves give it a graceful, flowing look, while its compact, bushy habit makes it perfect for tabletops, hanging baskets, or bright corners of your home. Like all Spider Plants, the 'Reverse' produces adorable baby “spiderettes” that dangle from the mother plant like nature's version of living decorations.

Why You’ll Love the Spider Plant 'Reverse':

  • Unique Variegation: The reversed pattern of green centers and white edges sets it apart from the traditional variety.
  • Easy to Care For: Thrives with minimal attention—perfect for beginners and busy plant lovers.
  • Air-Purifying: Helps filter indoor air, making your home look and feel fresher.
  • Pet-Friendly: Non-toxic to cats and dogs, so it’s safe for homes with furry friends.
  • Produces Offshoots: Enjoy propagating the cute spiderettes to grow new plants or share with friends.

Plant Details:

  • Mature Height: 12-18 inches
  • Mature Width: 12-24 inches
  • Sun Exposure: Bright, indirect light (tolerates some lower light conditions)
  • Botanical Name: Chlorophytum comosum ‘Reverse Variegatum’

The Spider Plant 'Reverse' is a perfect choice if you love plants with low-maintenance care and unique visual appeal. Its bright, reversed variegation adds a touch of elegance to any space, while its cascading spiderettes create a playful, living display. Whether hanging in a basket or perched on a shelf, this plant brings classic charm with a modern twist.

Another good Benchmark Atlas
Format: Spiral-bound
We camp frequently and own all of the Benchmark Atlases. Although, this is different due to Canadian laws, we are excited to try it out! Very detailed with information, such as small campgrounds and identifying land ownership (Forest services or BLM)

Memories of the Camino
Format: Paperback
First off, I have to say that my husband and I know Angela, the author. We met her because she is a neighbor of my sister, living in Hawaii. We discovered that she planned to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela the same year we were (2016) ! On a visit to Hawaii, we met with Angela and did a little local hike together. She was so enthusiastic and had prepared well. We, too, had been reading up and watching videos, getting suggestions as to what to bring, how to deal with physical issues and weather, what to pack and what not to pack, etc. Still, for anyone doing the Camino - whether the WHOLE 500 miles or doing the required 100 km to get the certificate at the final destination: Santiago de Compostela, Spain - it is a very personal endeavor. Reading Angela Leslee's book gives you the personal story of her "camino," and it is captivating. The changes that take place in her life - the discoveries she makes, the people she meets, the failures she feels, the fears, the habits that get broken (such as food choices!) - all make for an adventure that is life-changing and an interesting read. For anyone considering this pilgrimage, because that's what it is, this book will inspire you. You don't need to be part of a "group." You don't need a lot of plans. You do need to be prepared to be changed. The memory for myself and my husband is that it is the best shared experience we have had together in our 50 years of marriage! Angela's book brought back so many wonderful memories for us. I highly recommend this book.

Feeling Inspired!
Format: Paperback
Reading "The Way of Love" has inspired and encouraged me as I plan for my first (solo) Camino. I thank Angela Leslee for being unafraid to bare all the emotions in her book: the joys, victories, setbacks, disappointments, and pain. It's evident that "The Way of Love" was a labor of love as page after page recounts the 500 miles she walked! I told the author in an email that, in September, when I walk my Camino, I'll be sure to be up and out on the trail "...before sunrise when the yellow street lights cast their magical glow." Can't wait to experience that! "The Way of Love" -- easy to read and enjoy.

the good, the bad, the funny, the reality
Format: Kindle
A great memoir of an “older” woman walking the Camino de Santiago alone. Alone but with many friendships along the way.
