Opuntia robusta, also known as wheel cactus, silver dollar prickly pear, nopal tapon, or camuesa is a Cactaceae family plant that is native to northern Mexico, and parts of Arizona and New Mexico in the U.S. Opuntia robusta is a bushy or tree-like cactus with wide flat stem segments that reach up to 15 feet high and equally as wide. It blooms with bright yellow flowers and produces green to purple/red fruits known as tuna, prickly pear, and cactus fruit, that are a common edible in local regions. Opuntia species are also common ornamental plants and living barrier or land border plants. USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11.

Opuntia robusta seeds should be spread across the surface of a sterilized cactus substrate mix. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of substrate mix and mist the surface to settle down the soil and seeds. Cover with a humidity bag, dome, or plastic wrap. Keep in a warm place with partial shade. Seeds will germinate best with high temp in the day and low temp at night. 70-80°F is the ideal temperature range. Seeds should germinate within 7-20 days. Mist or bottom water when the soil is almost dry. Even with optimal conditions, some seeds may have slow and sporadic germination. Place established plants in full sun to partial shade. Too much shade will make cactus and succulents etiolate during growth.

Super tough & Great squeak!
Pattern Name: Chipmunk
This Zippy Paws chipmunk is perfect for a small to mid-size dog. Our cocker and mini-poodle are hard on theirs and it holds together when other toys are in shreds within a few minutes. We have purchased several over the years.

Annoying sound but DOGGY TOY JOY!!
Pattern Name: Skunk
My 14 month old is squeaker OBSESSED, but she easily does surgery and defluffs. However this toy has been perfect. The sound when you shake is over the top and creates so much excitement. She loves to chase and chew this and play tug with this, and no tears from tug or points where she's tried to excise squeaker so far!

Great toy loved by 3 big dogs
Pattern Name: Skunk
We have a black lab and 2 grandpups (a Great Dane and a Cane Corso) that visit regularly. All 3 love this toy. All 3 destroy toys pretty quickly, sometimes within minutes. I have no idea what it is about this one, but they have not even remotely destroyed it except for major slobber damage from being so loved. I bought the first one months ago from TJ Maxx and then bought another on here thinking it could be a replacement when the first one got destroyed. The first one has yet to be destroyed. It sounds like there is a water bottle inside of it but it is some kind of coil thing. That being said, this toy can be very annoying to listen to, but we tolerate it for 3 very happy dogs.

Not for us, unfortunately.
Pattern Name: Chipmunk
Cute idea. We have doxies. Unfortunately, they ripped the apart in 5 minutes to get to the squeaker. I'm sure other breeds are more gentle with their toys. It would be a great toy for them.
