Crassula ‘Baby’s Necklace’ is a hardy and ornamental plant with small, rounded, fleshy leaves tightly stacked and usually multicolored, resembling a string of beads like on a necklace. It’s a hybrid of Crassula perforata (string of buttons) and Crassula rupestris subsp. marnieriana (jade necklace). This plant stays fairly small (6"-12"+ tall) and has excellent drought and cold tolerance, though prefers some sun protection. As the stems develop, they increasingly resemble wobbly, whimsical worm-like columns, and may go pendent, making the plant a neat choice for a hanging basket. The small star-shaped flowers are white. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods.
