It is primarily grown as a commercial crop (1) for production of vegetable oil (rapeseed oil) from its seeds, (2) for production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil, (3) for its young edible leaves or (4) as forage for livestock. Canola (Canadian Oil Low Acid) is a genetic variant that was developed in the 1970s in Canada and is now commercially grown for its seeds which produce a vegetable oil that is much lower in erucic acid and glucosinolates (fatty acids). Oleifera Group plants are annuals/biennials. They are commercially cultivated in large fields. Plants generally grow to 2-4' tall with flattened leaves to 20" long. Four-petaled yellow flowers are followed by long seed pods. Primarily grown as a commercial crop for harvest of its oil rich seed. Best performance occurs in organically rich, consistently moist, well-drained loams in full sun. Tolerates light shade. Soil pH should be between 6 and 7. Annual varieties are grown in areas with cold winters, but biennial varieties are often grown in areas with warm winters.

Growing Instructions

Plant anytime for salad greens, but to attain a full head, plant 4 to 6 weeks before the first frost. Very frost tolerant. For spring planting, plant as soon as ground can be worked, this is one of the earliest viable greens for spring planting.

1. Sow seeds on the soil.
2. Water the seeds.
3. The plants should ready to harvest 30-60 days after planting.

Great small size rug
Size: 2' x 3' (Natural shape, Sheepksin, Oblong), Color: Ivory White
Size is great, I wanted to use as a throw on a leather ottoman and it fit great. It isn’t exactly the color I expected but it is a neutral cream. Soft and comfortable. Well made.

Is super soft and works for elderly
Size: 2' x 3' (Natural shape, Sheepksin, Oblong), Color: Ivory White
My mom has been ill and confined to her recliner for sleeping. She developed pressure sores and was in a great deal of pain. We needed to treat the sores and I researched how to prevent in first place and found that genuine sheepskin helps. I had no idea this was a thing. I ordered this for her recliner and a seat one for the car. She loves this. She said she could feel an immediate difference in sitting for so long that she didn't need to shift constantly. I don't understand the mechanics behind why this works but I'm grateful for something natural and affordable like this to offer such relief.

Size: 2' x 3' (Natural shape, Sheepksin, Oblong), Color: Ivory White, Size: 2' x 3' (Natural shape, Sheepksin, Oblong), Color: Ivory White
The white one seems softer than the cream one!? Seems like great value for your money for a single pelt, the seller and product didn’t seem sketchy at all.
