Contractor-Grade Crabgrass Prevention with Built-In Forgiveness.
LESCO Dimension 19-0-6 contains 0.15% Dithiopyr (Dimension®), a professional pre-emergent herbicide that not only prevents crabgrass but also provides early post-emergent control of young crabgrass seedlings.
This makes it a strong option if soil temperatures are approaching — or have just crossed — the 55°F mark in spring.
What Makes Dimension Different?
- Pre-emergent control of crabgrass and annual weeds
- Early post-emergent activity on crabgrass up to the 1–3 leaf stage
- Provides a small forgiveness window if application timing is slightly late
Most traditional pre-emergents (like prodiamine) strictly prevent germination. Dimension adds limited early post control, which can be helpful during unpredictable spring weather.
Fertilizer Breakdown
- 19% Nitrogen for aggressive spring green-up
- 30% PolyPlus OPTI45 slow-release nitrogen for extended feeding
- 6% Potassium to support stress tolerance and root strength
This higher-nitrogen formula is commonly used for strong early-season growth while establishing weed protection.
Application Timing
- Apply in early spring before soil temperatures consistently exceed 55°F
- Can still provide control shortly after crabgrass germinates in early stages
- Water in with at least ½ inch of irrigation or rainfall to activate
Do not apply if you plan to seed.
