Ipomoea muelleri is a delicate and rare species of morning glory native to arid and semi-arid regions of Australia. This twining or trailing herbaceous vine belongs to the Convolvulaceae family and is admired for its slender stems, soft green foliage, and attractive, funnel-shaped flowers that typically display shades of pink, lavender, or pale violet with a slightly darker throat. The blooms open during the day and often fade by evening, following the typical behavior of morning glories. The leaves are usually heart-shaped or ovate, contributing to its graceful and ornamental appearance. Ipomoea muelleri thrives in full sun and prefers sandy or well-drained soils, making it well-suited for xeriscaping or wildflower gardens. It is drought-tolerant once established and is often found growing in open woodlands, grasslands, and disturbed soils. Though less common in cultivation than its more famous relatives, this species offers a unique charm and resilience, ideal for gardeners seeking a low-maintenance, flowering vine with native adaptability. Zones 8-11

Germination

To germinate Ipomoea muelleri seeds successfully, begin by scarifying the seeds gently with sandpaper or nicking them with a blade to break the hard outer coat, which helps moisture penetrate and speeds up germination. After scarification, soak the seeds in warm water for 12–24 hours to further soften the seed coat. Sow the seeds in a well-draining potting mix, placing them about 1 cm (0.4 inches) deep. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, and maintain a warm temperature between 20–25°C (68–77°F). Providing bottom heat with a heat mat can improve germination rates. Seeds typically sprout within 7–21 days. Place the seed tray or pots in a location with full sun or bright indirect light. Once the seedlings develop two or more true leaves, they can be transplanted into larger containers or directly into the garden in a sunny, well-drained spot. Ipomoea muelleri is relatively drought-tolerant and thrives in poor to sandy soils, making it well-suited for low-maintenance or native-style plantings.

Small, but twisty and fun looking. Seems relatively sturdy, though doesn't look indestructible at all.
Color: Rubber Chew Toy, Size: Large
SLIGHTLY disappointed because I thought this was bigger than it is. If you squish it all in close, it's maybe one and a half times the size of a tennis ball. (Of course, the size is probably listed; I think I just assumed, so my fault.) That being said, it's entertainingly twisty and squishy, though the rubber seems relatively sturdy. I'm not yet positive if it will hold up to the 8 month retriever/lab mix it's intended for; he tends to rip instantly through anything much less sturdy than kong natural rubber. But it seems like something that will amuse him, so we're going to give it a shot at Christmas.

Great product!
Color: Rubber Chew Toy, Size: Large
My dog is an aggressive chewer. I have bought this 3 times for her she loves to play tug and fetch with it. They last longer than most of the other toys I get her and it’s one of her favorites.

Good price and decent toy, seems well made. My puppy is entirely uninterested and doesn’t play with it at all.

Very dangerous for chewers!!!
Color: Rubber Chew Toy, Size: Large
My dog was chewing/swallowing the hard rubber within seconds of having this "toy"!!! Not safe, sturdy, no play attraction; only desire was to consume!!!

This was my puppy’s fav toy for the longest time. Not too heavy and is the right amount of tough for a chewing teething puppy. Cute toy that’s easy to chew and safe for a teething puppy it’s not loud and lasts. Worth the price.
