The large single red flower is held high above glossy green leaves. The wide and perfectly balanced petals can be striated with lines of color and the color stays true as the flower ages. The seed pods are often red and can be up to 5" wide and produce fertile seed. Bold Protector has a classic shape and will be a star attraction in either a large pot or in your pond. 'Bold Protector,' a spectacular hybrid from Ten Mile Creek Nursery, will grow about 3.5' tall in a 20" diameter pot.

HOW TO FERTILIZE LOTUS
For conventional fertilizer (tablets or loose prills) which releases quickly when water is added:
Wait until the lotus plant has several floating leaves or begins to put up aerial leaves before adding fertilizer.
Choose a good fertilizer such as Waterlily World Tablets, Pondtabbs or Landon's Aquatic Fertilizer and follow the instructions carefully. The amount of fertilizer to use is usually based on the size of the pot and the amount of soil in the pot. For example, most of the small tablets are added at a ratio of 1-2 tablets per gallon of soil in the pot. Once the lotus has started to grow vigorously tablets can be added every 2-3 weeks. Stop fertilizing in late summer to allow the lotus to use up all the fertilizer in the pot before going dormant. This encourages the lotus to form better rhizomes.
For SLOW-RELEASE FERTILIZER like Nutricote 14-4-14, 100 day fertilizer:
*follow amount directions on package. Place fertilizer around the bottom of the pot then add soil. Plant rhizome in the soil at the top of soil layer and let it grow down to find fertilizer. We use slow-release fertilizer but begin adding extra Pondtabbs after 3 months when growth gets vigorous and we continue adding extra fertilizer until late summer.
Do NOT use 360 day fertilizer because it will release fertilizer for too long and the lotus will not form as many rhizomes when it goes dormant.

Fun, Easy Read

Knotty Omegas series is a work of art!!

A.J. Shirley has done it again. I was hesitant to read this book because of the premise of omegaverse, but I loved Shirley's Aegis Saga so much that I decided to give this a try. I finished it faster than any other book I've ever read. I fell in love with Serenity, her sharp wit, her creativity, and her ability to hope and love despite her horrible past. I loved witnessing her healing journey. Her chemistry and connection with the pack made my heart race. The men were incredibly lovable and snuggly. And the spice was SPICY. Buckle up.

Knot their style

So I really enjoyed the story. I don’t really like dark omegaverse, surprisingly from the themes it did not go Dark. Instead, it stayed sweet. I like Serenity, you can tell just by the first scene that she was a fighter. She had to save her own life. Once she did save her own life she gets hit by a car. So then Pack Rhodes saves her life, I mean what do you do with a unconscious abused omega that you may or may not have hit with your car. Take her home of course. Loved this book and cant wait for the next one
