Native to the high Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa, this is one of the shortest, prettiest and most reliably cold hardy species in the genus. I have found 'Fire Dance' to be much more compatible in smaller perennial plantings than its much larger relatives. Easily grown in average and compost enriched garden soils. This is an improved cultivar with lovely coral red and yellow bi color flower spikes. Good for Firescaping
