Our Dwarf Banana Plants may be small in stature but they sure pack a big punch in your landscape!  Reaching 4-6' tall and 3-5' wide at maturity, this exotic variety is perfect for smaller spaces.  This Basjoo variety also does very well if planted in containers to be used on a sunny patio or deck or even indoors as a houseplant!  If planted in pots, Dwarf Bananas will likely not reach full size and may not produce fruits.  During the Summer months, red to coral brachts surround a spikey yellow bloom.  Small yellow fruits will then from from the brachts to enjoy in late Summer and early Fall.  The small tasty fruits are edible but do contain some small seeds.  Outdoors, plant in a full sun to partial shade location with moist soil.  If planted in a pot indoors, be sure to use a large pot and place in a brightly lit location but avoid direct sunlight.  Be sure to keep the soil evenly moist, not allowing it to dry out at any time. Dwarf Banana plants are the perfect size to plant in a smaller outdoors tropical setting or in a container and enjoyed year round indoors!
