Mangave "Bad Hair Day" (PP30279) is a hybrid succulent that combines the durability of Agave with the fast-growing, tropical traits of Manfreda. Known for its distinctive curling leaves, this plant is versatile and can tolerate varying moisture levels, making it ideal for container planting or landscapes in zones 7b to 11. The compact rosette grows about 10 inches tall and up to 30 inches wide, with narrow, flexible, spineless leaves that twist and curl, giving it the appearance of "messy hair." The green leaves are often burgundy-spotted in bright light, though the spotting may fade in shade. While it blooms sporadically, its ornamental value lies primarily in its unique form. Mangave 'Bad Hair Day' is a 2011 hybrid of *Manfreda maculosa* and *Agave geminiflora*, introduced in 2018 as part of the "Mad About Mangave" collection by Walters Gardens. It thrives in full sun to part shade, prefers well-drained soil, and requires minimal water once established, making it an excellent option for drought-tolerant gardens. Hardy to 7°F, it can be grown as a perennial in warmer climates or as a container plant in colder areas, where it can be brought indoors for winter. Its adaptability, low maintenance, and unusual appearance make it a standout in rock gardens, succulent gardens, or as a container focal point.

This plant has been grown in a 1ga pot. You will receive a very similar plant to the one in the picture. The plant is shipped "dry-root" (with no soil).

Came apart.
Color: Cherries
We were playing with it and the green part pulled off of the red part. I'm pretty sure that is not supposed to happen. I took the green part away from the dog because that part is too small for my pup to play with. But we continue to play with the red part. My dog likes the texture and the bounciness.

Caution - handle comes off!
Color: Cherries
I really liked this toy when I opened package--our dog liked as well! Until a short time ago when I saw her chewing on the green "stem"! The stem had come apart from the main cherries. This is a small enough part that I think she or any bigger dog could choke on. Our dog is a small lab. Would not recommend buying.

Must buy!
Color: Grape
My dogs love this and so do I. It really smells like “fun grape” like a fun smelling marker. It’s gentle for their teeth and durable! They are both interested in it and take turns using it, pretty awesome!

Great for SuperChewers. Keeps my Golden busy.
Color: Bear, Color: Bear
My dog loves it and it keeps her busy for a while. She actually pulls it out of her toy basket and brings it to me when she wants it filled. I break her treats into some pieces that are easy to get and some a little harder. This way she doesn’t get them too fast or loose interest if they’re harder to get. Also, she’s had it for 3 months and there’s barely a mark on it and she’s still a puppy that chews her toys to pieces.
