**Our Paw Paw trees are grown from seedlings, they are not grafted. Paw Paw trees grown from seeds normally begin flowering and fruiting in 4-8 years, depending on location and the care the tree receives. Paw paw trees are not male or female; they are monoecious, meaning each tree has both male and female flowers. However, paw paws are not self-pollinating, so you’ll need another genetically different paw paw tree nearby for cross-pollination to produce fruit. When the tree matures, you’ll notice flowers with both male and female parts, but it’s still necessary to have more than one tree for fruit production.
