Caladium ‘Pink’ – Plant Description

Caladium ‘Pink’ is a vibrant tropical foliage plant belonging to the Araceae family, native to South America and especially abundant in Brazil. Grown for its dramatic ornamental leaves rather than its flowers, this cultivar stands out with its vivid pink colouring that instantly adds tropical flair to any home or garden.

The heart-shaped leaves are paper-thin yet striking, with bold pink centres often highlighted by green margins or fine veining. The intensity of the pink varies from leaf to leaf, ranging from bubble-gum shades to deeper rosy tones. Each plant is unique, with the variegation forming painterly patterns that look almost hand-brushed.

Compact in size, Caladium ‘Pink’ typically grows to 40–60 cm in height, producing clumps of colourful foliage from underground tubers. It is a popular choice for shaded patios, tropical borders, or as a striking indoor accent plant.

Caladium ‘Pink’ – Care Guide

Light

Prefers bright, indirect light indoors. Outdoors, thrives in dappled or partial shade. Too much direct sun will scorch the delicate pink leaves, while too little light may cause colours to fade.

Watering

Keep soil consistently moist during the growing season (spring to early autumn). Water thoroughly when the surface begins to dry, but avoid waterlogging. During dormancy in winter, when the foliage naturally dies back, reduce watering drastically until new growth appears in spring.

Temperature and Humidity

  • Temperature: Best in 18–26°C. Protect from draughts and avoid exposure below 15°C.

  • Humidity: Requires high humidity for optimal growth. Mist regularly or use a humidifier indoors to prevent leaf crisping.

Soil and Potting

Use a rich, free-draining, peat-free compost blended with perlite or orchid bark for aeration. Plant tubers shallowly (just beneath the soil surface) in spring. Repot annually to refresh the soil and encourage strong growth.

Feeding

Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2–3 weeks during the active growing season. Stop feeding once the plant begins to enter dormancy.

Growth and Dormancy

  • Growth: Produces vibrant pink heart-shaped leaves during spring and summer.

  • Dormancy: Leaves die back in autumn as the tubers rest. Keep them almost dry until replanting or regrowth in spring.

Pruning and Maintenance

Remove fading or yellowing leaves at the base. Do not cut back healthy foliage, as it helps replenish the tubers.

Common Issues

  • Scorched leaves: From too much direct sunlight.

  • Crisping edges: Due to low humidity or inconsistent watering.

  • Yellowing leaves: Often a result of overwatering or poor drainage.

  • Pests: Occasionally attracts thrips, aphids, or spider mites.

Background and Benefits

Caladiums have been cultivated since the 18th century and are prized for their ornamental foliage. Pink cultivars are especially popular for their cheerful colouring, offering a softer alternative to red or burgundy types while still delivering dramatic impact.

Watch that's not a Speedy with its own 1970s racing heritage from the same group that owns Omega
Beautiful watch with its own heritage, yes it's at the upper end for a Tissot, but the high caliber movement used other brands like Omega and Longines as well as the superior fit and finish, justify the price of this watch.

What a Watch !!!
It's truly a very good watch, and I’m quite happy with it. Let me break down the reasons why: The design: the front, the dial, the bezel, the case It has an outstanding design and looks incredible on your wrist. It gives you that feeling of wanting to wear the all day, just because of how good it looks. The case dimensions are really nice—at 41mm, it’s relatively large but still within the wearable limit. The thickness of the case also helps a lot, since it doesn’t have an automatic movement or a date function, it’s much thinner than other Tissot chronographs and doesn’t feel like you’re carrying a rhinoceros on your wrist. The proportions and the positioning of the subdials give it a very premium feel. Of course, it’s not a Rolex Daytona, but that’s not what you're looking for here. What you’re looking for is something original, different, with a distinct racing look and bold colors, without crossing into gaudy territory. The movement I think having a manual movement in this watch is a total win. If you’re considering this watch, chances are you already own others with date functions and automatic movements—and if you don’t, it would pair nicely with this one. This isn’t meant to be a daily watch, for me. It’s a watch for relaxing, going out for drinks with friends, spending time with family, it’s more laid-back, more of a weekend watch. And for those moments, you don’t need to know the date, you just need to enjoy the experience. For daily wear, there are plenty of other options in all price ranges, from a Seiko 5 to a Datejust. The manual movement on this watch gives you a sense of connection to it, something special. It really adds a lot to the experience. The price Sure, it’s not a Seiko 5, but for what it offers—a chronograph, manual movement, from a brand with history and pedigree, without being a cheap knockoff of the Daytona—it’s an absolute win. This is one of those watches that adds to any collection, whether you’re just starting out or already have a box full of watches worth thousands of dollars. It won’t feel out of place, and you’ll always find an occasion to wear it.

Good comfort, quality and classy
Size: 8.5, Color: Black/Ivory
’ve been wearing Cole Haan dress sneakers for work and travel, and they strike a really good balance between professional and comfortable. The biggest advantage is how lightweight they feel compared to traditional dress shoes. Most styles have sneaker-like cushioning, so you can walk or stand all day without your feet getting destroyed. The design is also versatile and look polished enough for business casual outfits but still casual enough to wear with jeans. They work especially well in office environments where a full formal shoe feels too stiff or outdated.

Overall, these shoes strike the perfect balance between comfort, style, and practicality. I can honestly say I look forward to wearing them every day. Highly recommend for anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet but doesn’t want to sacrifice style.

Well Made for price and style
Size: 10.5, Color: Black/Ivory
Great fit and very flexible. I also recommend buying shoe savers when purchasing this product. To help with toes wrinkles. The pair itself is stylish and very comfortable. Any purchase of this product will be greatly satisfied.
