Bonsaifreude 500 ml by Mairol is a specialized liquid mineral fertilizer designed specifically for the unique needs of bonsai plants. Due to the limited soil volume and regular pruning, these trees require precisely tailored fertilization that supports stable growth, healthy foliage, and good condition throughout the growing season. The fertilizer formula is adapted for long-term and safe care of bonsai grown both indoors and outdoors.
Mairol Bonsaifreude provides plants with essential macro- and micronutrients in an easily absorbable form. Regular use of the fertilizer promotes the development of green mass, improves shoot quality, and increases the plants’ resistance to environmental stress. Thanks to its liquid form, nutrients are quickly available to the root system, which is especially important for bonsai grown in shallow containers.
Composition and importance of nutrients
- Nitrogen (N) 3% – in ammonium (1.1%), urea (1.3%), and nitrate (0.6%) forms; supports green mass development and overall plant growth.
- Phosphorus (P2O5) 7% – stimulates root system development and supports flowering.
- Potassium (K2O) 5% – improves plant resistance and affects the quality and durability of shoots.
- Micronutrients – boron (0.02%), copper (0.005%), iron (0.11%), manganese (0.02%), molybdenum (0.001%), and zinc (0.002%) in EDTA-chelated forms, essential for proper metabolic processes.
The use of micronutrients in chelated form allows for their rapid and effective uptake, even under conditions of limited nutrient availability in the substrate.
Mode of action
Thanks to its balanced formula, the fertilizer promotes even plant growth, improves leaf condition, and supports the development of new shoots. Regular fertilization also increases bonsai resistance to diseases and adverse weather conditions. The result is healthier-looking plants and better control of their development over the long term.
Dosage and application
- dilute 2 ml of fertilizer in 1 liter of water,
- apply once a week from May to October,
- shake the bottle well before use,
- wait about 2 weeks after repotting before starting fertilization.

One bottle of Bonsaifreude 500 ml allows you to prepare up to 250 liters of fertilizer solution, providing regular and long-lasting fertilization of bonsai throughout the growing season.
