The queen of all lavender essential oils!

Morningsun Herb Farm and Soul Food Farm
English Lavender 'Maillette' 10 ml (.34 oz) Essential Oil
Botanical Name: Lavandula angustifolia 'Maillette'
Country of Origin: California, USA
Plant Part Used: Flowers
Method of Extraction: Steam Distillation
Oil color: Light yellow

Lavandula angustifolia 'Maillette' is the preferred lavender variety for therapeutic and medicinal use. The aroma of 'Maillette' is strongly but sweetly fragrant, fresh, and floral - herbaceous with woody undertones, and lacking in any sharp fragrance.

Lavandula angustifolia is native to the Mediterranean region. It is grown commercially and in home gardens throughout the world in Mediterranean climates, from California to Tasmania. 'Maillette' is a shorter growing variety, growing to just 24 inches. It prefers very dry conditions for best growth, and well drained soil. The blooms are a medium violet in color, and the flowers are on short stems. It is the one of the primary varieties used for high end essential oil productions in France. There are many other lavender and lavandin varieties more commonly grown in the United States, but 'Maillette' produces one of the highest quality essential oils.

Our essential oils are not cut with any synthetics or chemicals. Our lavender is grown on the property of Morningsun Herb Farm and Soul Food Farm, two neighboring properties in Pleasants Valley, a beautiful agricultural area in western Solano County in Northern California. We have two small production fields of 700 plants. We grow without the use of any inorganic chemicals - we use only organic fertilizers and hand removal of weeds. Each year there are many inputs into the growing of our lavender, including temperature, rainfall, amount of moisture in the spring, soil type, timing of harvest, and method of distillation. Some of these inputs are beyond our control, but 2012 was an excellent year for growing lavender in California - a mild wet winter, early spring with occasional deep rains, and a hot, dry summer. We are fortunate to have the only certified biodynamic distiller in the United States available in the city of Petaluma who is able to distill small batches of 70 lbs of flowers, so our flower harvest is separate from any other growers. Our production is very limited, and we do not purchase lavender flowers or oil from other producers. We also grow all of our lavender plants from cuttings at our nursery, so we have complete control over the entire growing cycle of the plants.

Lavender essential oil is commonly used to treat burns, inflammation, cuts, wounds, eczema, dermatitis, headaches, insomnia, hysteria, migraine headaches, nausea, nervous tension, infections, bacterial conditions, sores, ulcers, acne, boils, asthma, rheumatism, arthritis, restores hormonal balance, reduces cramps, lowers blood pressure, hypertension, tones the heart, helps respiratory conditions, helps skin maladies and acts as a sedative. Alternative medicine experts use lavender oil as an antiseptic, and there is much scientific evidence from England, Germany and Switzerland to indicate that its use is justified. Because of the soothing properties when mixed with massage lotion or oil, lavender has a calming and soothing effect on the muscle joints. It can relieve pain and provide an overall pleasurable experience for the patient. For this reason it is one of the most common essential oils used today for massage. The strong aroma of has been proven to have soothing effects in people suffering from stress, anxiety and mental illness. In some European countries, capsules of lavender are sold as an OTC drug. As a vapor, lavender oil can be mixed with vegetable glycerin to treat common cold and flu symptoms. Just add it to a vaporizer with your water and sit in an enclosed area. It can also be sprayed in a shower/sauna for a similar effect. You can even add a few drops to a bowl of hot water and breathe in the vapors. Because of the soothing properties, it has been known to induce sleep making it helpful for treating insomnia and other sleep related issues. Many people who are stressed out use it as a daily sleep aid. When applied directly on the skin, Lavender Oil can treat acne, wrinkles, psoriasis and inflammation which makes it a great addition to any skin care product.

Even with all the benefits many insects don't find Lavender Essential Oil appealing. It s a known mosquito and moth repellant and today many of the all natural as well as conventional insect repellants on the market contain Lavender as one of the primary ingredients.

Lavender oil blends well with citrus oils, cedarwood, clove, clary sage, chamomile, geranium, vetiver, and bergamot.

Sounds great.
Just received my Onkyo TX-NR 7100, watched a few YouTube videos before it arrived, so set up was easy. Ran accuEQ, I am getting new front speakers so I’ll wait to run Dirac. After accuEQ, I still had to make a few adjustments, to the speaker levels and especially the sub. It set my subwoofer way too low. As of right now having no problems with Bluetooth. I’ve only listened to music so far, can’t wait to watch a movie. For now I have a 5.1.2. System, getting new fronts, the Klipsch r51-m’s will go to the rear surround and Klipsch r41-m’s will be my height speakers in a 5.1.4 system. So far loving this avr. Update 2: Just calibrated with Dirac for the 6th time. They tell you if you sit in a recliner, reclined measure with it reclined. Well I measured with the chair in its upright position. It makes a huge difference I hear the surrounds much better. Btw I listen to all channel stereo, I know audiophiles say it sucks, however I listened to 2 channel stereo for 20 years, when there was nothing else. I didn’t buy a 9 channel avr to listen to 2 channel stereo. Like Randy the cheap audio man says “ audiophiles aren’t always right. If it sounds good to you, that’s all that matters.” So try calibrating in the upright position, or if you sit on a stationary chair or couch, try positioning the mic slightly forward of your listening position. It makes a huge difference. Hope this helps, enjoy. Update: Ok bought Klipsch rp-600m speakers for the front with 52c center. 51m surrounds, 41m rear heights. Polk owm3 front heights. Why Polk? Lighter easy to hang and as height speakers they are only there for atmos. Ran Dirac live, the application does what it would take several hours to make it sound like it does, if I even could get it to sound so good. Apple TV 4K with my Hisense U8K. The google tv interface is ok, but Apple TV is faster and easier. The Onkyo 7100 is a gem, runs pretty warm but I have it out in the open. If you are going to put in a cabinet I suggest a fan. Very happy with the whole system.

Straightforward setup Excellent Warm sound
Style: AVR-S770H
Setup was surprisingly easy. No manual included, but a quick link to a PDF. Connection to PC, Nintendo Switch, Cable Box done in minutes. Setup Menu worked great. Bluetooth pairing to phone easy. Setup as 5.1 (waiting on 2 more speakers for 7.1 connection). Small glitch in that the speakers didn't respond or even test tone right away. Went in and out of menu a few times, and then they worked (did this once with a 2-speaker quicker setup and then did the same glitch when adding the additional speakers to the profile with the full 5.1 setup). Works with ARC well (Samsung TV that came with silly external box) and reciever connection defaults to a passthrough when not on, which is nice. Video is great and compressed audio cleanup works well. Didn't do Mic leveling yet, but the manual speaker tuning worked well at leveling things out for 5.1. I was expected a lot harder set-up and was pleasantly surprised. It's a quality product. Some folks may not like the direct DB volume adjustment but I find it handy, especially when working a little later at night, I can dial in a very exacting low volume so as not to disturb the rest of the house. Very happy with purchase.

Great product
Style: AVR-S770H
I have owned several $1000.00 plus theater systems of 7.1(2) channels and I have never heard my speakers put out the sound like the Denon does. I would never change systems again unless Denon stops producing this product

AVR-S770H - My first AVR and my first Denon - works great with Directv and Fire Stick
Style: AVR-S770H
This review is for the Denon AVR-S770H. I was apprehensive about buying an AVR for my main TV. I've always used a soundbar and was happy with the results. I assumed that adding an AVR would make things finicky and complicated. I'm happy to say, that is not true. This Denon has been fabulous. My requirements for a home theater receiver were/are the following: 1) Ease of use and NO additional remotes to our current set-up (family needs, I'm not a bachelor!) 2) I need the ability to connect 2 zones: the TV room and I have a pair of outdoor speakers on the patio First, as to the remote situation, I use Directv and I use an Amazon Fire Stick 4k. My old set-up was super simple. I picked up the Directv remote and hit Power. That turned on the TV, the Directv box, and the soundbar (since it was connected to the TV ARC port). Simple. If I wanted to change over to the Fire Stick, I simply used the same Directv remote to change the input and then used the Fire Stick remote from there. I'm happy to say the Denon has made things even simpler. Not only does the Directv remote turn on/off the TV, Direct box, and the Denon receiver but now I don't even have to bother switching inputs. If I pick up the Fire Stick remote and hit the Home button, the Denon senses that and immediately switches over. Likewise, if I pick up the Directv remote and hit a button, the Denon will switch back over to Directv. So that is an actual improvement. By the way, in order to get the Directv remote to turn off the Denon, don't worry about trying to program the remote via the Directv menu (I tried all the codes and failed). Instead, go to the Denon setting menu. Choose Setup> Video> HDMI Setup. Change the "Power Off Control" to "Video" or "All". Now the Denon will turn on/off when the TV does (using the Directv remote). My second concern was operating a second set of speakers via Zone 2. That also works perfectly. Now when I step outside to sit on the patio, I simply hit the Zone 2 button on the front of the Denon. I can use my phone to play music via the Denon's built-in Bluetooth. Some users need to be aware: in order to operate Zone 2, the receiver needs to be switched from 7.2 channel to 5.1 + Zone 2. That's perfectly acceptable for me since my TV has only front L & R speakers and a subwoofer. So I'm not even using the full capabilities of the 5.1. If you need 7.2 and a second zone, you need to find a different AVR. In sum, I bought this Denon with some trepidation and thought maybe I'd have to return it. Instead, it does everything I want and then some. Of course, it sounds great too. I'm so glad I switched from the soundbar.

Wow!
Style: AVR-S770H
I had an Onkyo 5100 for a few years and experienced lots of issues with the UI over HDMI but after many many firmware updates they seemed to have resolved that and it had a great sound. Recently however the receiver started to turn itself on for no reason and I felt that it was a fire hazard. I bought this unit as a replacement and so far it is flawless. I believe that this receiver sounds even better and hopefully more reliable. The Atmos sound is excellent.
